Kapitel 13: Meeting and leveling up
(and to those who say that Yuri could have already leveled up if I was in the world of Danmachi I would wait until most of my stats are as close to max as I could so my character will too)
As Yuri's group trekked on, the imposing tower of Babel loomed before them. Yuri paused, momentarily thrown off by the sight, before realizing that they hadn't yet reached the point in time when Hephaestus would evict Hestia causing her to stay inside the abandoned church, signaling the start of the events in the story. It dawned on Yuri that Bell's arrival was imminent, setting the stage for the unfolding narrative.
As they ventured further, they soon found themselves standing before the residence of Hephaestus on one of the tower's floors. Observing Hephaestus's tense demeanor and the labored breaths she took, Yuri couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.
Hephaestus asked them to wait outside for a brief moment, while she retreated into her quarters. Through the closed door, the muffled sounds of commotion and raised voices reached Yuri and Lilly's ears. The two exchanged indecipherable looks, their expressions betraying no clear emotions. After a tense few minutes, the clamor subsided, and the door creaked open once more, ushering them inside.
After stepping inside with some hesitation Yuri looked around taking in the decor and layout of the room. Noticing this Hephaestus quickly ushered the girls to take a seat on a couch in the center of the room.
Once the girls took their seats she stepped into a room off to the side hoping that Yuri didn't notice anything out of place. But if Hephaestus knew that Yuri had already noticed that there was trash poking out from under the closet door she would be mortified.
After around thirty seconds Hephaestus returned to the room with her friend following behind. Yuri knowing that this was Hestia was almost bubbling over with excitement. Even though she knew that Hestia was somewhat lazy she also knew how hard she worked when it was important. Due to this trait, she couldn't help but like the adorable little goddess that was in front of her.
Before anyone noticed or even knew what was happening Hestia found herself being squeezed into a tight hug. Almost as if she had teleported Yuri was now holding her in her arms and rubbing the top of her head against her cheek. Stunned it took a moment before anyone could react.
The first to snap out of it was Hephaestus who even though she was processing again didn't know what to do. This was due to the fact that against what she was expecting Hestia was hugging Yuri back with a relaxed smile on her face. The hug lasted for around three minutes before let out a deep breath and finally let go.
But Hestia didn't want to let go so she wound up just following her to the couch and sitting next to her still without letting go. Seeing this Hephaestus had some complicated feelings that she didn't quite understand. Pushing those feelings to the side for now she decided it was time for introductions.
Sitting across from the three others and let out a sigh. Clearing her throat to gain their attention she began "Girls this is Hestia like me she is a goddess, Hestia the girl you seem so attached to is Yuri a member of my famillia, and the girl next to her is Lilly she is currently in need of a new famillia".
Hearing the introduction and deciding it was slightly lacking. Hestia decided to add her own version "As Hephaestus told you my name is Hestia goddess of hearth and home. I came to the mortal plane to be around my best friend Hephaestus and to start my famillia".
Hearing this Hephaestus couldn't help but mutter under her breath "All you have done so far is laze around doing nothing".
Ignoring this Hestia finally let go of Yuri and dismissing the immediate sense of loss turned to Lilly. " so if it's not too much what is your story".
After spending the next fifteen minutes going over her life. Along with how she was saved by Yuri and Hephaestus Lilly was almost again in tears.
Seeing this Hestia reluctantly stood from Yuri's side to step in front of Lilly. She then wrapped her in a loose hug and while rubbing her back told her "All that is over you can become happy now after all we will be a family and take care of each other once you join my famillia".
After calming down Lilly they gave Hestia and her space to give some privacy to give Lilly her falna. When all was said and done before leaving. Yuri spoke to Hephaestus about getting her own house at the edge of her territory. When asked why that location Yuri explained that Hestia and Lilly didn't have a place for their little famillia to stay. And she couldn't leave them alone until they could get their own place. But she also realized it would be better to be at the edge of her territory if she had another famillia as guests.
Seeing her point she told her she had one place in mind that wasn't too large but could house around six or seven comfortably. It would cost her 1,487,856 valis to obtain the place though. Hearing this Yuri was happy that she spent her money sparingly as at point she had saved up almost 3,000,000. After giving the money to Hephaestus Yuri, and Lilly left to return to Tsubaki's house for the night.
After returning Yuri pulled Lilly into her room to have a conversation. Before going to sleep that night they decided that Lilly would go with Yuri to the dungeon. They would spend two hours in the morning training Lilly as a way to make her stronger then she would act as Yuri's support for the rest of the trip.
They went with this plan for ten days before when Yuri was told that she could now move into her new home. After being shown the house that had its own little building that contained a small forge she had Hephaestus update her stats.

Metallurgy: the ability to refine minerals into ingots and allows easier understanding of composition and increased purity of the final product.
Fairy smith: allows the ability to learn at a faster pace all crafting techniques and styles including those of other races and allows for easier mastery.
Leatherworking: allows the ability to tan and work leather into shape and control the hardness of the finished product.
Sewing: the ability to combine and mold fabrics and other materials into usable shapes with needle and thread.
Breath of the Fairy Queen: when in the dungeon again excelia at an increased pace.
Body of hardship: increase stat gain comparable to the effort used the more you push yourself the stronger the effect.
Warriors pledge: every five points of increase in any stat gives an extra point into that stat.
Natural enemy: after defeating a monster gain a slight increase in excelia for defeating more monsters of the same type.
Magic:
Needle rain: chant- bring forth the pestering rain downpour of needles needle rain.
Short- downpour of needles needle rain.
Yuri had planned on maxing out all of her stats before leveling up. However, she only had one spell and the stat didn't increase at all the last two trips to the dungeon. She also checked the system shop but magic spells cost her at a minimum of 20 sp and she also didn't have enough to do that. So far she had managed to get her sp back to 13 but she only managed this due to a daily quest she received.
Quest: Better today than yesterday- defeat more monsters today than you did yesterday floors 1-5 one monster is worth one, floors 6-10 are worth 2, 11-15 are worth 3, and so on.
The current amount is 567 points.
Rewards: every time you increase points gain 1 sp and endurance increases by five.
Without this quest, Yuri wouldn't have gained any sp over the last week due to not receiving any other quests. Yuri even asked and found out that until the start of this world's story, she would she wouldn't receive many quests. This was due to the fact the worlds will was currently focused on moving things in such a way to push things into motion.
After she heard this Yuri was actually getting really gitty she couldn't wait to actually help Bell because he was able to do so much before he received any help but what if he had help from the start?
