My gaze crossed over to Caden, and without bothering to respond to his effort to piss me off, I stood up, making my way to the door to leave.
"Sort it out, Sylus. It's weird seeing you look anything but perfect," Adam said. And I could hear the others agreeing with him. But that wasn't my problem.
My problem was Harley, who was following after me without saying a word or stopping. I wish I didn't have to come to this. I had no intention of seeing her face until I had myself under control because Harley... she'd messed me up. She'd ruined the person I was, and now it seemed too hard to gain the control I had back.
She was right, we should have stopped any of this the second we noticed we might have been getting too close. But I was too stupid to want to hold on to that feeling because now I was the only one suffering through it. Was she even feeling what I was feeling? I doubted that. She looked perfectly fine.
