The next morning, Briar was all smiles as she dusted off the non-existent dust from Logan's suit while standing near his car.

"Take care of yourself and don't work hard," she said softly to him like a virtuous wife.

Logan looked at Briar guiltily, knowing how much he had been avoiding her lately, but it couldn't be helped. At least things were looking better. He couldn't help but look at her closely, despite the guilt.

'Could it be that I haven't seen her during the day for a long time that she is starting to look different?' he couldn't help but wonder as he observed her.

Sensing his gaze on her, Briar pumped her fists inward with triumph, knowing that the beauty pill was indeed working its magic.

Seeing her looking at him like that with a smile, Logan smiled at her as he responded, "I will take care of myself. I might be coming late again today. Don't wait for me."
