I opened my eyes, looked around, and found myself still in that hidden room, naked on the bed with a blanket covering me.

The glow on the moonstones had faded, and the room had plunged into darkness.

I guessed Max must have woken up and let me rest instead of waking me up together with him.

I quickly dressed myself and went to the door, and I faintly heard Max and Rosa conversing but could only hear the words ‘curse’, ‘mate’, and ‘promise’.
