Kapitel 24: I won't hurt you

Huo Xinhan drove to a nearby restaurant within a few minutes.

The car was silent throughout the entire journey and no one had said a single word. Qin Mei distracted herself from the weirdness in the car by looking at the roadside all the way until they arrived.

Huo Xinhan helped Qin Mei unbuckle her seat belt as usual before he alighted from the car.

Since it was quite dark, the two did not bother putting on masks to hide their faces or identities.

Huo Xinhan had already reserved a private room in advance by sending just a text message to the manager so the two headed straight in without any disturbances.

The two chatted for quite a few times before finally eating their meals in silence.

On their way back, Huo Xinhan noticed a little girl by the roadside selling a few bouquet of flowers.

He immediately parked the car and alighted while informing Qin Mei that he would be right back.
