Kapitel 16: *Chapter 16: The Journey to the Sand Village*
The journey to the Sand Village was swift, with Himanshu, Divyansh, and Jiraiya traveling alongside a team of Konoha jonin. As they moved through the desert, the brothers couldn't help but feel a sense of déjà vu. They had seen this scenario play out in the original timeline, but now, with their presence, things could unfold differently.
The sun beat down on them as they crossed the arid landscape, the heat making every step feel heavier. Yet, the group pressed on, knowing that time was of the essence. If the Akatsuki were already in the Sand Village, they had no time to waste.
As they approached the village, they were met by a group of Sand Village shinobi. Among them was Kankuro, Gaara's older brother, his face etched with worry.
"Kankuro," Divyansh greeted him, "we came as soon as we heard. How's Gaara?"
Kankuro's expression was grim. "The Akatsuki attacked just before you arrived. Gaara managed to fight them off for a while, but they took him. We've been searching for their hideout, but so far, no luck."
Himanshu's eyes narrowed. "We'll find him. Do you have any idea where they might have gone?"
Kankuro nodded. "There's an old hideout in the mountains to the north. It's been abandoned for years, but it would be a good place for them to hold up."
Jiraiya stepped forward. "Then that's where we'll start. We need to move quickly. If they start the extraction, Gaara doesn't have much time."
With Kankuro leading the way, the group set off toward the mountains. The air was tense, each member of the team knowing the stakes of their mission. As they neared the mountains, the brothers felt the familiar sensation of impending danger. Their instincts were on high alert, and their senses were sharpened.
They soon came upon the entrance to the hideout, concealed by rocks and sand. As they approached, they could feel a malevolent chakra emanating from within. This was the place.
"Be ready," Jiraiya said in a low voice. "We don't know how many of them are inside."
Himanshu and Divyansh nodded, preparing themselves for the fight ahead. This was their chance to make a difference, to alter the course of events and save Gaara. They wouldn't let the Akatsuki succeed.
