Cracking his spine, Loki stood ready for his day as he waited for the professor to arrive by the door.
"Will she arrive using a broom?"
"Will she arrive teleporting like Walburga?"
"Or will she arrive using the Knight Bus!?"
Loki was getting more and more excited with each thought as he hurriedly tapped his feet on the porch waiting for the time to turn twelve-thirty so that he could begin his magical journey.
As the time approached twelve-thirty, Loki with his spirit vision active spotted a man dressed like a bat glide across the street.
'Hmm…that man is rich.' Loki concluded because, in the view of his spiritual intuition, the man glowed like a lighthouse. 'Is that why he's dressed so strangely? Almost like he's a vampire bat.'
'But what is he doing here? A rich person in East London? Doesn't suit him.'
'Is he lost?' Loki wondered when he spotted the man looking around the houses with confusion.
But after seeing the man walk towards a dark house that was painted charcoal black, Loki lost his interest in the man.
'Maybe some rich guy who was separated from his family during birth.' Loki concluded, his mind picking up the plot of the soap opera in the Daily Prophet he had read back in the black manor.
"Hmm…is the teacher late?" Loki wondered as he looked at the sun in the sky that was at its peak.
'Maybe that Dumbles guy doesn't pay his teachers well and has overburdened them with the task of visiting the homes of a lot of students?'
'Poor teachers can't even take a little rest.'
'I knew it, people like him with a lot of titles let power get to their heads and don't care about the masses.'
*FLASH*
A flash of bright red light and then lime green light erupted from the home that the bat-like man had entered, grabbing Loki's attention.
"Huh? What happened there?" Loki asked out loud to no one in particular.
Moving across the street, Loki walked with carefully measured steps so that he could leave at the first sign of trouble.
'That light, it seemed familiar. Like the one Walburga used all those months ago.'
Loki hiding behind the fence of bushes in the lawn, peered into the open door.
And what he saw next shocked him.
The man in bat-like clothes was standing over the bodies of the two people on the ground and he continued to cast a spell that left a lime-green trail until it hit their heads.
*GASP*
Loki stumbled backwards, not due to the apparent deaths of the two people he didn't care about, but because he watched a new wizard kill two seemingly random people.
'Damn it! Did this have to happen today!?' Loki cursed in his mind as he immediately turned around to leave.
'Which sequence Beyonder is he and why was he attracted to my location today!?'
'Or is it a coincidence?'
With each question only worsening his mood, Loki's first thought was to run.
As Loki took the first step to run, he inadvertently stepped on a twig and *cracked* it attracting attention towards himself.
A chill ran down his spine as he felt a scary gaze land on his back.
Without anyone having to remind him, Loki immediately figured out that the man was now looking straight at him.
'What in tarnation!?'
Loki jumped away immediately, rolling behind the bush to quickly run away from the place, but as he jumped in the air, Loki felt something hit his back and found his movements constricted.
Unable to move or balance his body, Loki collapsed face-first into the road earning a couple of scratches and a bruised nose in the process.
'What the heck happened!?'
Loki looked down and found himself bound by ropes, his neck bound tightly to his hands and legs while the knots were arranged on his back, an area he could barely reach.
'Is this it!?'
'Is this how I die?' Loki thought with fear.
But then remembering how Elane was waiting for him a newfound surge of determination rushed through him.
'No! I can still do it.'
But before Loki could seemingly get to doing anything, he found himself face to face with the man dressed like a bat.
The man immediately raised his wand and pointed it at Loki, but Loki said something that caused him to freeze in his tracks.
"I know what you are! You're a wizard aren't you!?" Loki shouted out loud.
The man was still pointing his wand at Loki but there was a slight confusion in his eyes.
"....speak." the man said giving Loki permission to speak.
"You just used the killing curse, didn't you? I've seen it used before! It's alright, I won't tell anyone about it! In fact, I can even compensate you with a lot of money if you let me go!" Loki argued.
But the reaction of the man was not something Loki expected, the man just stood there as if a little shocked as his eyebrows twitched.
"This is a mis-"
*SWOOSH*
"Haha!! See you Sucka!! Fight me like a man if you dare next time!!" Loki had freed himself from the ropes using his dexterous fingers as he tossed the sand and gravel from the road into the man's eyes with his feet.
Loki immediately set off running, moving as fast as he could to escape away from the bat-like man.
'I just have to turn there and I'll be out of his sight for good.' Loki reasoned and immediately halted his running body and ducked low to redirect it to jump into another street.
But right as Loki jumped, something once against struck him in the chest.
Loki's hands and feet were bound together, sticking to his sides as he became as stiff as a wooden plank.
He collapsed on the dirty road left only with the ability to move his eyes as his mind collapsed into despair once again.
Not long after the man dressed like a bat arrived beside Loki casting a shadow over him.
"This is a misunderstanding." the man spat out venomously, as if speaking each word itself was a burden he was not willing to undertake.
Loki tried to make noises to express his dissatisfaction but everything in his body felt like it had been frozen stiff.
"Now if you would only stay like that for the duration of my next tasks, this will be easier." the man said waving his wand and causing Loki to float beside him as if he were a frozen doll.
Under Loki's surprised gaze, the man moved back to the charcoal black house and shot a spell from far away.
As the spell struck the two people on the floor, they surprisingly got back up and began to go about their jobs without any fuss.
After which the man looked around the street once again, until he spotted Loki's burnt house and moved towards it.
Leaving Loki on the floor, the man cast another spell silently and caused Loki to finally unfreeze and become normal.
"What did you do!? How did you resurrect them!?" Loki asked with caution and fear as he moved back towards a wall, putting as much distance he could between himself and the scary wizard man.
It hadn't been long and Loki had already primed his spirituality to take out the man should the opportune moment arise.
