Kapitel 70: Chapter 70

"Lemon Sherbet!"

As soon as the words fell, the stone statue in front of Ethan immediately split into two halves, revealing a spiral staircase.

Following the stairs, Ethan came to the principal's office again, and everything was the same as last time.

At the end of today's Transfiguration class, Professor McGonagall conveyed Dumbledore's intention to see him and told him the password to open the door.

This is how the current scene came to be.

Ethan also had some guesses about why Dumbledore wanted to see him this time.

Quirrell, who was possessed by Voldemort, had contacted him again, and it was probably related to that matter.

Other than that, Ethan couldn't think of a reason. He had been quite well-behaved during this period and had never had a conflict with anyone. He just went out every night to stroll around the Forbidden Forest.

But if you don't get caught, it's not a violation. This is the unspoken rule of Hogwarts.

"Professor Dumbledore, I'm here!"

Ethan directly woke up Dumbledore, who was resting with his eyes closed, without any consideration of not disturbing the old man.

"Sorry, I'm old. I always feel sleepy at this time of the afternoon."

Dumbledore put on the glasses from his desk, his eyes a little dazed.

You'd be a fool to believe him. This old guy is very sly.

Ethan was sure that Dumbledore knew the moment he shouted the command and the stone statue opened the door.

Although Dumbledore was not young, wizards were very good at surviving.

If he didn't want to die, he would have no problem outliving the young wizards of this generation. (Not to mention Nicolas Flamel and his wife—the Daily Prophet reported that someone even more ancient, Armando Dippet, was 300 years old and still served as the headmaster of Hogwarts when Voldemort was studying there.)

"Sit down first. What would you like to eat?"

As he said that, Dumbledore had already taken out several kinds of desserts, the most eye-catching of which were cockroaches that were still moving.

Ethan had seen a pile of cockroaches many times, but he had never eaten one.

But Dumbledore liked them very much. It can only be said that he was a fanatic for sweets.

"No, thank you!"

After taking the grape juice, Ethan refused the desserts.

"Ethan, what do you think of Harry's performance during this period?"

After putting away all the desserts, Dumbledore asked slowly.

"Like a normal Gryffindor student—nothing special, except that Professor Snape specifically targeted him."

Ethan carefully recalled Harry at this stage and found that he had been more obedient since Christmas, except for the occasional night outings.

The rest of the time was basically spent playing with Ronald, playing wizard chess, and talking about Quidditch—all normal Gryffindor hobbies.

Occasionally, he would visit Hagrid, but other than that, there was nothing unusual.

"Don't you think his life is too comfortable?"

"How could it be? Aren't all of us students like this?"

Ethan looked at Dumbledore in confusion, wondering what he was getting at.

Talking to me about Harry?

He is indeed familiar with Harry, but Ronald is the one who has the best relationship with him.

The clown turned out to be me. I thought he was asking about me and Quirrell, but it turned out he was concerned about Harry.

"Is that so? Are you sure?"

Dumbledore looked at him with a smile on his face. Ethan.

"Well, maybe he is a little restless!"

Whether it was sneaking into the Forbidden Forest or going to the Room of Requirement almost every night, these were not things normal young wizards should do.

"I want you to find something for Harry to do, otherwise such a comfortable life will wear down his will."

Dumbledore finally revealed his purpose.

Harry, who had just started school, had everything under his control. He encountered the three-headed dog during his night walk, and Hagrid accidentally revealed the news about the attack on Gringotts and Nicolas Flamel. Snape's targeting of Harry made him misunderstand the situation.

According to this development, Harry would eventually discover that the secret hidden in the corridor on the third floor was the Philosopher's Stone, and because of his misunderstanding of Snape, he would think that Snape wanted to steal it.

After all, it is always easy to assume the worst about someone you hate.

Until the final confrontation with Voldemort, this was the script Dumbledore prepared for Harry in his first year.

Since Harry was protected by his mother's magic, Voldemort himself could not harm him. This was the best opportunity to hone Harry, the savior.

Only after defeating Voldemort would Harry have the courage to face him in the future.

However, things had gone wrong now. Harry going home for Christmas was beyond Dumbledore's expectations.

Now Snape was still targeting him, but Harry seemed indifferent and had lost interest in the corridor on the third floor. This was not okay.

In order to get things back on track, he found Ethan.

After all, it was not easy for him and the professors to intervene in this matter; otherwise, the headmaster or professors encouraging a student to violate the school rules would create problems with the other staff.

"Headmaster, I'm just a first-year wizard. I don't think I can help!"

Ethan said reluctantly. He didn't want to play the saviour game with Dumbledore, let alone be a babysitter.

Strength is the root of everything. Improve your own strength, protect the people you care about in the future—doing these things well is enough.

Although Ethan was partially to blame for Harry's comfortable life, he wasn't going to admit it. What evidence could you have to prove it?

Otherwise, it is a false accusation.

This affected Hermione. The trio couldn't be assembled, and their ability to cause trouble declined. They also lacked brains.

This affected Draco. Although he still had extraordinary attention for Harry, there were no night duels, fewer conflicts, and he was unable to join the Gryffindor Quidditch team, which also reduced his opportunities for training.

Finally, there was Snape. Because of what Ethan said at the time, Harry now only felt that Snape was targeting him because of his father.

Snape could target him if he wanted to, but it wouldn't cause Harry much harm. After all, his father's success in the past made Snape, who deeply loved Harry's mother, single to this day—a lonely over-aged bachelor in his thirties.

With this in mind, although Harry still didn't like Snape very much, he didn't think that Snape wanted to kill him. At most, Snape wanted revenge on his father, which wasn't too bad—just a little narrow-minded—so naturally, he didn't suspect anything.

"I think you have a way, and I won't let you help me in vain."

If Ronald were smarter and had fewer minor problems, he wouldn't have come to Ethan.

But Ronald couldn't handle anything significant.

If he dared to tell Ronald even a little, the plan would be ruined.

"It's not a vain effort."

Hearing that there was a reward, Ethan became excited. This White Devil would definitely not be stingy!

As long as the reward was worth it, it wasn't impossible to cooperate with Dumbledore and play along with Harry.

"I see you're quite interested in alchemy. Do you know who has the highest achievement in alchemy now?"

Dumbledore had chips to impress Ethan, and quite a few, but he couldn't offer much.

"Nicolas Flamel!"

Ethan said confidently.

The highest achievement of alchemy is turning stone into gold. Isn't this the function of the Philosopher's Stone? Now the only one who can do this is Nicolas Flamel.

"Yes, if you do me this small favor, I don't mind helping you once and introducing you to Nicolas!"

Dumbledore smiled and nodded.

For a wizard who likes alchemy, Nicolas Flamel's guidance is impossible to refuse.

"In that case, Harry's problem is in my hands. I will make sure he is rejuvenated."

Ethan immediately promised to find something for Harry to do, which wasn't difficult.

This is Nicolas Flamel's guidance—it's a standard for any transmigrator.

Any transmigrator who doesn't go to Nicolas Flamel to learn a few tricks is embarrassed to say they're a transmigrator.

"I believe you can do it. Especially since the spirit of adventure is what Harry lacks most at the moment."

Dumbledore believed that even if he didn't explain it clearly, Ethan would understand what he meant.

Ethan had been to the third floor. Although he didn't enter through the trapdoor, he must have guessed what was there.

And Hagrid was a big mouth. Ethan had been in contact with him for so long, and he must have revealed a lot of information. With Ethan's wisdom, he must know what he needed to know.

In addition, Ethan had contact with Quirrell. Both sides had been involved.

In this game, the professors knew Quirrell had a problem, but they didn't know the exact issue. Voldemort also knew that Dumbledore had noticed him, but wealth and honor are sought in danger, and he is immortal—what is there to fear?

The only ones being led on from beginning to end were Harry and his group.

"I understand, the corridors around the third floor, right ?"

Ethan gave Dumbledore a knowing look.

If you want adventure at Hogwarts, the Forbidden Forest is the best choice. But this year, a new map of the third-floor corridor has opened. Anyone with half a brain knows this is special.

The two exchanged a few more pleasantries, and Ethan was ready to leave. But he remembered something and turned to Dumbledore:

"Headmaster, after the last Defense Against the Dark Arts class, Professor Quirrell showed me the Killing Curse, and he said he could also teach me how to use it. I wonder if I should go?"

"Child, don't learn these things, and don't get in touch with Quirrell. I should have warned you earlier."

"If you have any knowledge about magic that you don't understand, you can ask me."

Dumbledore's face became serious.

He had always let Quirrell be, even if he was in contact with Ethan, but he didn't expect him to be so bold. It was one thing to talk about the three Unforgivable Curses publicly, but quite another to drag a young wizard into the matter.

Magic is the power of the mind, and the three Unforgivable Curses are the darkest of magic.

It's not that learning them makes you bad, but as you learn and use them, your personality becomes more extreme, and your emotions shift to the dark side.

If you are not careful, you will easily do something wrong, and it will be too late to regret it.

Ethan was very harsh last time, but he also had a sense of proportion. Those little snakes in Slytherin only suffered physical pain.

If Ethan learned the Unforgivable Curses and repeated what happened that day, he might lose control of his emotions all of a sudden and show his true power to his classmates!

In this case, the situation would spiral out of control, which would be an extremely bad result for both parties.

"I know, I will be careful."

Ethan nodded and walked out of the principal's office.

Ethan didn't want to have any contact with Voldemort. He was just a remnant soul and couldn't bring any benefit to him.

As for his knowledge of dark magic, most of it was useless to Ethan.
