"That's right, I'm a beast tamer," Bobby said with enough confidence to convince everyone around him. He figured it would be an easy way to gain friends and respect. No one needed much convincing, except for Dari, who had developed a grudge against him and didn't believe his claim.

Given the vastness of the Great Canopy Country, flying beasts were an incredibly useful form of transportation, making their training especially important. Everyone wanted to have a flying pet, as walking thousands of miles by foot was not the best way to get around. The best pets were those that could be used for both traveling and battle, such as the four-winged flying leopard. Despite the demand, flying pets and their trainers were rare. Bobby was right in thinking that pretending to be a beast tamer would make him popular.
