Irina's brows were deeply furrowed.

She knew there would be many to rush the red carpet to stop her today, but having Uncle Reno stand up was truly unexpected.

Yet, simultaneously, it seemed somewhat within reason.

"Uncle, I have my own plans and thoughts; please bless me rather than obstruct me," Irina took a deep breath, her voice carrying some authority.

She was now the president of the Civilization Book Club, and Uncle Reno was the Book Society's Judgment Chief.

By function, the Judgment Chief was supposed to obey the president, not stand up in opposition.

"All I know is that if you continue down this path, there will no longer be a Civilization Book Club."

"Even if it could barely survive, it would lose all credibility along with its former glory, becoming synonymous with fraud and money-grubbing."
