Instead, it was because becoming stronger made him feel happy and satisfied, just as people feel pleasure when they eat sweets.

"That's a perfectly valid reason," Hecate nodded slightly, accepting her apprentice's explanation. She could understand a man's desire for power, an impulse rooted deep within the soul, but she did not want her apprentice to become a person who only chased after power.

"Apprentice, power requires wisdom to wield," she said to Xi Mu with a smile, "If you really are in a rush to forge the Great Sword of Death, I can help you."

With her current abilities, she could quickly locate the meteorite needed to enhance the Great Sword of Death and find a suitable Forging Master to create it.
