Kapitel 26: CHAPTER 26
"No wonder we didn't see the both of you in A ground so you guys are watching this game after all" A green haired teen said as he walks his way towards Jiro and Miyuki behind him was the members of first string.It is Kuramochi the lead off batter of the team, he was practicing privately with the other regulars when all of them notice that the catcher and first year pitcher wasn't around so and they also got curious about this game so all of them decided to watch and as expected they saw the two missing people here already.
"How is it going?" Ryunosuke ask.
"As expected the first years can't handle the seniors team ryunosuke senpai" Miyuki answered his senpai question.
All of them have returned their attention on the field as they saw coach kataoka made substitutions for the first years at the middle of 2nd inning for the outfielder and pitcher.
"Hahaha that idiot!" Miyuki can't help but laugh loudly as he saw sawamura frozen on his tracks beside the mound when the boy misunderstood the coach intentions.
"Yhahaha good luck on the outfield bakamura!" Kuramochi laugh and shouted at his kohai on the field as he saw his loudmouth roommate started walking towards the outfield obviously not liking the idea.
When sawamura heard his roommate shouted at him he shot him a look and there he saw the first string members but that wasn't he's focused on as he saw Miyuki laughing so hard at him as well as his roommate Kuramochi.
"MOCHI SENPAI DON'T LAUGH AT MEEE! AND YOU! EVIL TANUKI STOP LAUGHING!" He shouted at the two on which the two didn't pay attention at him at all.
"Hey you! Focus the game is about to start!" Sawamura snap out of it as he heard one of his fellow first year shouted at him so sawamura just decided to ignore the two evil person still laughing at him.
'Crap I was an idiot thinking that mafia boss wearing sunglasses would put me in as a pitcher, why am I even here in the outfield?' sawamura thought as he watch another first year took up the mound.
Sawamura was too caught up on this thoughts as he didn't notice the ball was already going his way until he hears the other outfielder shouting at him again
"Hey! Snap out of it, the ball is already coming!"
"Ahh crap, right in front of me" said by sawamura as he moved himself forward to catch the ball.
"Idiot! Move back! It's a softball, you should move back than you expected when catching for hardball!" Sawamura heard the other guy instructions to him making him so confuse as he started adjusting his position.
When the ball is about to land sawamura wasn't ready at all as he jump and of reflex while raising both of his arms like he was jumping for joy or a celebration jump.
*Plop
The ball have passed through him and landed on the ground already. The loudmouth first year was so embarrassed as he hears the laughter of people watching when they saw what he did.
"Woahh! He's jumping in joy hahah"
"Hahaha that gotta be extremely embarrassing hahah"
Sawamura was already crying tears of embarrassment hearing those comments of the audience about himself.
'ahh so embarrassing' he thought.
"What are you doing you ashole! Get the ball immediately the runner is still running to third base!" The other first year at outfield can't help but curse as he watched the dumb sawamura doing nothing.
'The ball!' sawamura thought finally realising the situation they were in.
"That's because I've never even played in the outfield once!" The loudmouth pitcher said as he begin his throwing motion towards third base.
"Whoaaa a laser beam!?" One of the audience outside said as they saw the ball thrown by sawamura heading straight towards the third baseman.
"GO!" Sawamura yelled as he watch the ball he throw when suddenly the ball curved hitting the runner at the back!
"GUHHHH!" exclaimed by the runner as he jump up in surprise as he felt the impact of the ball hitting him at the back.
Everyone watch with wide eyes as they saw what happened even sawamura was shocked too.
"S-safe!" Shouted by the acting ref as the third year runner arrived safely at the 3rd base but he was on the ground rubbing his back where the ball hit him.
"That... The ball turned in the direction of the runner right?"
"Yeah"
"Seriously, he aimed to hit the runner!"
"THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY US BY LETTING YOU DO THAT JUMP OF JOY!?"
"HORRIBLE! THERE'S A DEMON ON THE FIRST YEARS!"
Sawamura suddenly jolted surprised at the sudden shouts of the people around him. He was so red because of embarrassment.
"YHAHAHA that idiot!" Kuramochi laugh so hard as he saw what his roommate just did.
"Hahaha" Miyuki also can't help but laugh seeing the situation of the loudmouth pitcher. Even the other first string laugh at the sight, even their serious captain Yuki Tetsuya chuckled a little seeing the sight of their kohai full of embarrassment
Jiro's POV
"Sawamura doesn't even have a clue that his pitches move" I said looking at the idiot loudmouth friend of mine on the field.
"Ohh so you knew about guy pitches?" Miyuki said surprised a little.
"Yeahh, we've played catch before and that's how I found out about his pitches" I said. I already know of this uniqueness of sawamura the first time we have played catch before. He has a natural moving fastball to which he didn't have a single clue about.
I already have an idea in mind on how to help this dumb friend of mine to make use of his weapon but I haven't informed him yet. I currently just guide my friends to improve their physical fitness before going for some more advanced thing like honing of skills.
What I learned on my past life being a coach is that one needs a solid foundation before going through the process of improving skills as it'll make things easier.
You can't have a shortcut to success after all.
"In fact the potential of sawamura was much greater than that of Tanba senpai" I added looking at the figure of my friend on the field.
"Hey brat! What do you mean by that!? Are you underestimating Tanba just because he got relieved of his ace position?" Isashiki senpai suddenly said so I looked at his way and there I also saw the serious expression of the other 3rd years looking at me.
"Hah I'm not underestimating Tanba senpai or anything like that senpai's, I'm just saying this since I believe that sawamura was going to be so much better than Tanba when he has fully develop his potential" I explained to them as they misunderstood the meaning behind my remarks earlier.
I have a keen eye when it comes to identifying the potential of others and I firmly believe that sawamura could become so much better compared to Tanba in the future.
"Oho Is that kid has that much potential?" Ryunosuke senpai said looking at sawamura now with interest on the field.
"Let's just observe the game" Captain Yuki interjected as he saw the coach was about to make another substitution.
I focus my attention once again on the game as I saw coach standing looking at the first year bench.
"Pitcher change, Satoru Furuya on the mound!"

DoggoWrites Here's today chapter! I'll be able to only atleast update 1 chapter per day starting from today guys. School vacation is over and we are going to resume classes tomorrow, I was on my third year in university so I need to focus on my studies now. I hate leaving this unfinished so I'll atleast update 1 chapter per day.
