Kapitel 20: CHAPTER 20

"Seido Highschool announce change of players, Pitcher Tanba Koichiro is subbing out and subbing in is Pitcher Tsubayoshi Jiro."

The announcer at the stadium said and it immediately caused an uproar in the crowd.

"Tsubayoshi Jiro? Who is that?"

"I think it's seido first year"

"It's only the 4th inning why did they sub out their ace then putting in a first year?"

The audience was perplexed at the sudden substitution of players while Jiro has already started walking to the mound along side him was Miyuki with a wide smile on his face.

"Heheh it's finally your turn monster-kun" Said by Miyuki obviously pleased with the fact that he gets to catch for the young pitcher in an official match this soon as he was expecting the coach to put Kawakami at first.

"Senpai pls don't call me that" Said by Jiro not liking the nickname being given to him by his catcher.

"Hehe let's warm you up first so just try to warm your shoulders up as fast as you can",

"Okay" replied by Jiro as he started making his way to the mound and his catcher staying behind to sit at his designated position.

As Jiro is walking towards the mound he can't help but recall everything that he went through. The frustration that he felt in his last life remembering the hopelessness and despair that he felt when he found out back then that he can't pitch anymore, the self pity, mockery, everything that he has been through have flash in his mind as he was walking towards the place that he always longed for.

"I'm finally here again at last, It's way been too long since I've step foot on the mound in an official game" Jiro said talking to himself getting a little emotional as he didn't think he could get the chance to pitch again when he broke his shoulder in his last life.

The young pitcher on the mound collected himself and so he begun doing some practice pitches just to warm his shoulders up.

"Tsubayoshi Jiro? I've never heard of that name before but it doesn't matter go show that first year pitcher what it means to play against us boys!" Ichidaisan coach said to his players as he look at the first year that was just subbed in and throwing some warm up pitches now.

"Yes coach!" The ichidaisan players replied to their coach while observing the pitcher doing his warm ups at the mound.

"He's playing! Jiro-san is really playing in a game in an official match" Kanemaru said while looking at Jiro on the mound still doing his warm ups.

"Jiro-kun is really ahead of us, we need to work harder to catch up" Haruichi said while looking at his friend on the field fired up.

The two other pitchers with them was silent just quietly looking at their friend already stepping foot at the mound while both of them just still stuck doing physical practice together with other first years.

After a couple more throws from Jiro he already felt his blood pumping at his body indicating that he's ready now.

"I'm good" the pitcher said at his catcher and umpire. So the umpire have signalled to proceed to the game.

It was currently back to the top of the batting order so right now the lead off hitter of ichidaisan have made his way into the batters box while glaring at Jiro.

"Yhahaha go all out! We got your back!" Kuramochi said encouraging his kohai

"Show em what you got hehe" ryunosuke said

"Smash them all pretty boy!" Isashiki shouted too trying to encourage Jiro

When Jiro heard his senpai encouragement he just smiled at them as he appreciated their effort and replied

"There's really no need to comfort me senpai's this is what I came here for after all but thank you hehe"

"Cheeky brat!"

Ichidaisan coach can't help but observe how relax the first year is considering it's his first game so he watched the boy with keen interest. 'Let's see what you can do boy' he thought.

Jiro just look at his catcher now after his little interaction with his seniors. 'It's my first game so let's go all out shall we?' Jiro thought to himself as he started closing his eyes to focus.

Miyuki watch as his pitcher started closing his eyes with anticipation so when the young pitcher opened his eyes directly staring at him with a gaze that he's so familiar already, he felt shivers down his spine when he met his pitchers brown and blue eyes shining with a different kind of light on them

A terrifying pressure engulfed the stadium as Jiro releases his aura. Everyone could felt the pressure that the pitcher is exuding.

'What kind of pressure is this coming from a first year?!' Everyone thought the same as they stared at the first year pitcher on the mound begining his wind up now oblivious to their reaction

On the other hand seido players on the field has a smile on their faces now as they watched there kohai, they all realized that the monster is out for blood today. Miyuki was just full of excitement looking at Jiro pitching motion.

'Come. Give me the best fastball here'

As the lead off hitter of ichidaisan he prides himself as one of their core batters on the team but as he felt the pressure exuding by the pitcher he tense up and focus himself not underestimating the player on the mound anymore

The loud sound reverberated around the stadium, silencing everyone. All of them is dumbfounded at just what they have witnessed.

"Wh-What the hell is that"

"Monster! Seido sent out a monster"

"Look at the radar! look!"

Everyone exclaimed and when they heard someone said about the radar display on the stadium they turned their eyes that way and what they saw shock them

'158km/h!' that's what on display at the huge radar in the field.

"Monster" is just what everyone has in their mind that could describe the boy they stared at the mound currently

The umpire is also quite stunned at the pitch he just witness as he was late at his declaration

"STRIKE!"

When Seido regulars heard what the umpire said they too woke up from daze and started complimenting their kohai!

"Nice ball you brat!"

"One more!"

Jiro heard his senpai voices but he hasn't responded as his focus is currently already in the mitt of his catcher as his senpai already positioned it already so he also begun his pitching motion once again

"STRIKE OUT!"

The lead off batter of ichidaisan didn't even managed to swing his bat as the speed of the ball is too fast for him before he could even think of swinging.

"Monster, that guy is a monster" the lead off batter said to his teammate that was next at bat when they passed each other as he walked towards their bench with a dejected look on his face. He prides himself as a strong batter but he felt too small when he met the opposing pitchers gaze earlier. 'Damn what kind of first year is that?!' he thought.

"STRIKE OUT!"

The second batter wasn't any different either despite already seeing the pitch in the sidelines before but he found out that it's completely different when he's on the batters box as he felt the enormous pressure that the pitcher is giving him, the ball was coming at him roaring as if alive and he felt scared at that moment. He too suffered the same fate as his previous teammate.

3 pitches for a strike out.

"Damn where did this monster come from?!" Ichidaisan coach said gritting his teeth looking at the first year pitcher of Seido on the mound. 'I haven't heard of the name Tsubayoshi Jiro before so where did this monster is from?' he thought.

'Let's end this perfectly once again monster-kun' Miyuki thought as he observed the 3rd batter coming up obviously shaken and that did not escape Miyuki's discerning eyes

'You're really the best monster-kun' Miyuki thought as he gave the sign for the first pitch

'A fastball in this place' he thought as he position his mitt in the outside corner of the strike zone, he has experience first hand the terrifying control of his monster kohai so Miyuki is always in full bliss because he can make the call wherever he likes and Jiro would just perfectly deliver the ball in his mitt directly.
