Emma and her friends were still taking in their new reality. And they took it really badly. This was the first time they had been so humiliated in their life.

"My mom's going to kill me once she finds out…" Trisha murmured as they stepped out of the mall. Her pretty face glistened with sweat after pushing through the crowd in front of the store.

Hearing the word 'mom' only made Emma feel even more bitter. Her mother was obsessed with shopping at that store, calling it a haven for all wealthy wives.

Now that her mother could no longer shop there, Emma feared that her mother would cut off her allowance this month.

With all that money gone, how can she still play outside with her friends?

Emma turned to Sophie and said, "Why aren't you speaking? Ah, are you perhaps feeling guilty that this happened all because of you?"

Sophie flinched at the scathing remark Emma shot her way. But she didn't acknowledge taking the blame this time.
