Later that evening, I couldn’t help hum one of my favorite tunes as I drove back to my house, a stupid smile plastered to my face that I couldn’t seem to get rid of.

Lily had accepted my invitation!

I wanted to shout it out to the winds, with my head out of the car window like a maniac, but I realized the health hazards, so I decided against such a foolish act. But still…I couldn’t contain my happiness.

At first, I was very convinced that she would reject me and my invitation, probably telling my dad about the party since she was so fond of him. But when Danika finally managed to convince Lily, and I saw her smile as she accepted the invite…I just couldn’t contain my happiness!
