“I hope you didn’t take our teasing to mind, did you?” Sarah asked me once she had sorted out the dress she was going to wear to the birthday party. “It was just mindless teasing. Don’t mind us.”

“What exactly happened?” I asked them both. “No matter what…I just can’t imagine Alex to be that kind of a man who would just go around sleeping with women…”

I shook my head of the images my mind was trying to conjure up, especially of Alex and Cindy together…naked and in bed… “Did he and Cindy…?”

“Not really,” Sarah shook his head. “Cindy and two of her cheerleader best friends were sometimes linked with Alex, but he didn’t start sleeping around until he was well into his twenties. It was mainly Derek who slept with all three cheerleaders and was damn proud of it.”

“Man-whore.” Freya rolled her eyes at the mention of Derek and I got this feeling that the two of them did not get along well at all.
