I sat on a chair next to the healer, the brunette woman who I just found out was named Daisy, as she took a sample of my blood and patched me up.

I was still shivering, despite the warmth of the blanket wrapped around me.

Sarah, the blonde girl with the pretty blue eyes, rubbed her hands comfortingly on my shoulders, but it didn’t help much.

“Mirage, right?” Alpha Charles, the older blonde man and the Alpha to the Ocean Runners pack, asked me cautiously. “Can you tell me what else you remember? Anything about yourself? Your family? Your name is very unique.”

“I used to live with my mom, dad and my younger sister.” I told them now, my voice stronger, more pronounced after the warm drink that Daisy had made me gulp down. “We used to move around a lot…every year.”
