Alex’s P.O.V
Silence, long silence.
No one would know what to say after Freya finished retelling my mate's dream.
A bloody horrible dream. If it was not just a dream, I could not imagine how she got through it-watching her dearest family die cruelly in front of her. Just hearing it could make my heart clenched.
Her pale face emerged in my mind again, I should have found her sooner. Soon before she experienced all these miserable things. My wolf also felt bad for her.
“I’m sorry,” Freya apologized, holding a hand in front of her mouth as she shuddered, “Every time I-”
“You don’t have to anymore.” I promised her, I was grateful for what she did for us, “You shouldn’t have had to this time either. Cameron could’ve told me in your stead.”
“I know, but I was the one who saw her nightmares,” she removed her hand and took a deep breath as Cameron rubbed her back comfortingly. “When she’s…able to understand once again…please tell her that I didn’t mean to pry. I would never do that.”
