Kapitel 88: Chapter 88: Apperace Of Another Herrscher

On the training grounds, the newly initiated MOTH recruits lined up, bracing themselves for the second wave of their training. This wasn't the usual regimen; they weren't just soldiers anymore. Now, they were training to face the unknown horror of the Honkai—an force that defied comprehension.

Most of the recruits hadn't encountered Honkai beasts before; the government's strict secrecy had kept civilians in the dark about their existence. For these soldiers, it was still an abstract nightmare, something alien and far removed. They had much to learn and even more to fear.

Each soldier wore a cutting-edge combat suit, jet-black with streaks of blue crystalline threads running through the material.

These weren't just uniforms—they were masterpieces of engineering, designed to shield their wearers from the corrupting Honkai energy. Bulletproof, shock-absorbing, and corrosion-resistant, these suits molded to each soldier's physique with memory fabric and cost a staggering $10 million apiece.

But these elite soldiers were now standing with their mouths wide open, staring at one person on the field.

"Am I seeing this right? What on earth is that guy holding?"

"Is he even human?"

"He's got to be some kind of monster."

In each hand, he held an enormous, round weight, both labeled with bold, unmistakable text: 1 ton.

One ton in each hand, the weight equivalent to a small car in each fist. Yet Orion held them with an effortless calm, as if he were balancing nothing more than two normal weights

Orion's true identity as a Herrscher was a secret from the regular soldiers. They hadn't seen him during the recruitment process and thought he was a specilaist within MOTH, someone with unimaginable strength.

"Dang, I'm glad I came here! I knew there were people like this in the world!"

"Will I ever be like him?"

The soldiers watching were amazed. No matter their age or gender, the sight of such power always stirred something inside them.

Some of the more social soldiers started asking their senior officers about Orion, hoping to learn from him. But the senior officers just shook their heads, saying they didn't know much about him.

"Hahh~"

Orion let out a breath and gently set the heavy equipment down, careful not to damage the ground. He didn't want to pay for broken equipment.

"It looks like you're doing well."

A voice came from behind. Orion turned to see Ato, who had walked up to him quietly.

"Yeah, not bad. I talked with Mobius, and she's... not too bad," Orion replied, keeping his tone light.

Ato raised his eyebrows, unsure how to respond. Mobius was an infamous figure among the MOTH—her lab wasn't exactly known for their safe experiments. Most who went in came out altered, or worse, yet Orion seemed unaffected.

His gaze drifted to the hulking training machines beside Orion, long-unused equipment meant for handling mechas with heavy exoskeletons.

But here was Orion, dressed only in a light, worn jacket from Mobius' lab. After witnessing Orion's strength, Ato had learned to expect the unexpected, but this... this was something else.

"How do you even do that?" Ato finally asked, knowing he wouldn't fully understand any answer Orion gave.

"It's simple," Orion said with a smirk. "I didn't use any special abilities. I just know how to control the 'point' of power. Once you understand that, you can do the same."

"The 'point' of power?" Ato echoed, eyebrows knitting together. Orion's explanation sounded like something out of a novel so he shrugged it off.

Orion chuckled at Ato's skepticism. "It's real, though."

Human strength, he explained, stems from the contraction of muscle fibers and the firing of nerves. In theory, if someone unlocked the full potential of their muscles, they could lift around 25 tons. Everyone had that potential—at least in theory.

Orion's true strength came from honing his mental power. Although his abilities were limited by the energy in this world, his mind had sharpened over time, becoming his strongest tool.

With this mental edge, he could perform feats of strength through sheer precision, channeling his power exactly where he needed it, effortlessly maximizing every move.

"All right, enough chit-chat. Follow me," Ato said, his tone brisk but carrying an undercurrent of tension. He motioned for Orion to follow him, leading him away from the noise of the training area.

Once they were alone, Ato leaned in close, his voice dropping to a near whisper. "The United Nations satellite picked up a massive Honkai energy spike—a reading over 2000HW."

"2000HW!" Orion's eyes widened in shock. An emperor-level Honkai Beast usually clocked in at about 500HW, a level capable of leveling several cities on its own.

But 2000HW? That was like the combined presence of multiple emperor-level beasts gathered in one location. It wasn't just a threat; it was a potential catastrophe.

"Exactly," Ato replied, nodding as he noted Orion's reaction. "MOTH thinks this might be another Herrscher—just like you."

"Do we have a plan?" Orion asked

The emergence of a Herrscher was no ordinary event; it was an omen of destruction. If left unchecked, the surge of Honkai energy alone could obliterate a city in minutes.

"The remaining supercomputers across the world have been calculating possible locations, and we've almost pinned down where this is happening."

"Where?" Orion asked, the tension thick in his voice.

"Siberia," Ato said, his voice steady but solemn. "There's an abandoned Soviet industrial base out there—tall, fortified, like a tower. It could be the ground zero for a new threat."
