Kapitel 153: Chapter 153: Uchiha Akira Gains Wood Release

[One day later, you went on a date with Hinata Hyuga in Konoha, and rumors about your relationship started spreading throughout the village.]

[Three days later, the ninjas sent to the other four great villages to notify them of the Five Kage Summit had left the village.]

[Five days later, the team sent to the Land of Wind was ambushed. Only one jōnin barely managed to escape with injuries. After questioning him, you learned that their attacker was Kakuzu.]

[You increased the patrols around Konoha to track down Kakuzu, but your efforts were fruitless.]

[One month later, you and Orochimaru began researching your Dragon Transformation state. Orochimaru concluded that in this state, your cellular vitality, lifespan, and overall strength had undergone significant enhancements.]

[Six months later, Orochimaru successfully implanted more of the First Hokage's cells into you, confirming that your body was strong enough to resist the invasive nature of these cells.]

[One year later, you gained basic mastery of Wood Release techniques.]

[A year and a half later, more than half of the nine tailed beasts in the ninja world had been captured by the Akatsuki.]

[Pain, along with the Akatsuki members, launched a full-scale attack on Konoha. After a fierce battle, you faced off against Pain's Six Paths alone. In the end, Deva Path Pain summoned the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path to enhance his power, resulting in both you and Pain's Six Paths perishing together.]

[Please choose a reward from the simulation:]

All the knowledge, skills, and combat experience you acquired. The increased chakra reserves. The awakened state of your bloodline.

The simulation ended, and Akira couldn't help but smile at the results.

First and foremost, he learned that his Dragon Transformation allowed him to resist the invasive nature of the First Hokage's cells, which was a huge bonus!

The reason why the First Hokage's cells were so difficult to transplant was that they were extremely aggressive, much like cancer cells. Ordinary people simply couldn't withstand them.

But Akira's body, enhanced by his Dragon Transformation, had surpassed normal human limits.

This allowed him to withstand the invasive nature of these cells and even gain the ability to use Wood Release. This was incredible news!

As for the three choices…

His Mangekyō Sharingan hadn't awakened yet, so the bloodline option wasn't that appealing. It made more sense to choose between the increased chakra reserves or the knowledge and experience gained from the simulation.

Given his past experience, Akira knew exactly what to do.

In a previous simulation, with Orochimaru's help, Akira had integrated Hashirama's cells, which caused his chakra reserves to skyrocket.

When he chose to retain the increased chakra reserves, his body had indeed absorbed Hashirama's cells!

Now, Akira chose the chakra increase again.

Sure enough, after making his selection, he felt a surge of heat throughout his body, as though he were submerged in boiling water.

But his chakra reserves continued to increase.

After a while, the sensation subsided, indicating that Akira's body had fully integrated the First Hokage's cells.

Looking into a mirror, Akira noticed that his skin had become even fairer, a sign that his cells had completely merged with Hashirama's cells.

The overall increase in his chakra reserves wasn't massive—only about a 10% boost.

But considering his current chakra level, that 10% increase was equivalent to the total reserves of a shinobi like Kakashi.

His chakra reserves, which were originally around 40,000 units, had now risen to approximately 45,000.

However, the increase in chakra wasn't the main benefit.

The key point was that his cells had now fully merged with the First Hokage's cells, meaning that he had successfully mastered Wood Release.

Akira then took out a chakra paper to test his chakra nature.

Originally, Akira's chakra nature included only Lightning and Fire.

But as he channeled chakra into the paper, the first reaction was wrinkling, indicating Lightning Release.

Next, the paper caught fire, indicating Fire Release.

These were the chakra natures he originally possessed.

Then, the paper suddenly became damp—this was Water Release.

Finally, the paper crumbled apart—this was Earth Release.

"So, I really have gained the ability to use Wood Release now. Wood Release is a Kekkei Genkai that combines Water and Earth natures."

Confirming his newfound ability to use Wood Release through the chakra paper test, Akira couldn't help but smile.

Having Wood Release made him significantly stronger!

Wood Release techniques like the Wood Human Technique are akin to piloting a giant robot!

And then there's the True Several Thousand Hands technique, a literal mountain of hands!

Just imagining it filled Akira with excitement!

After all, what could be more thrilling for a man than piloting a giant robot?

Of course, with his current chakra reserves only around 45,000, it would be impossible to use Wood Release as freely as the First Hokage did.

He would need chakra reserves exceeding 100,000—a level beyond the Kage class—to unleash Wood Release without restraint.

If he could awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan, that would be ideal. But if not, wielding Wood Release's giant constructs would be a decent alternative.

Moreover, with the large quantity of the First Hokage's cells now integrated into his body, if he ever awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan, he wouldn't need to worry about the risk of blindness.

The Mangekyō Sharingan is incredibly powerful, but excessive use can lead to blindness.

The only known solution is to transplant the eyes of a sibling to awaken the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

But since Akira had no siblings, that option wasn't available to him.

However, there was another way—the cells of the First Hokage.

With a sufficient amount of Hashirama's cells, the risk of Mangekyō-induced blindness could be significantly reduced, or even negated entirely.

Just look at Obito Uchiha.

In the original series, no one used the Mangekyō Sharingan as frequently as Obito.

His Kamui technique was used in nearly every battle, often multiple times.

And yet, despite using the Mangekyō Sharingan so frequently, Obito never suffered from the blindness associated with it.

This was mainly because much of Obito's body was composed of Hashirama's cells.

So, when he fought the Fourth Hokage and lost his right arm, he simply discarded it without concern—it wasn't his original body anyway.

When his right arm was burned by Amaterasu's flames, he simply discarded it too—Hashirama's cells could always regenerate it.

Now, with his entire body infused with Hashirama's cells, Akira believed that if he ever awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan, he wouldn't have to worry about blindness either.

Of course, these were just theoretical thoughts for now, as he hadn't yet awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan.

While he had gained the ability to use Wood Release, mastering its techniques would require time and effort.

Akira considered trying to develop these techniques on his own.

But he quickly dismissed the idea—who knows how long that might take? So, once again, he turned to the Life Simulator for help.

By simulating life multiple times and playing it safe for a few years, he could easily master Wood Release techniques!

In addition, the Life Simulator revealed that a year and a half from now, the Akatsuki would launch an attack on Konoha Village, aiming to capture Naruto Uzumaki.

That was a serious threat!

And what about Kakuzu? The ninja sent to inform the Sand Village about the Five Kage Summit would be killed by Kakuzu?

"Kakuzu, huh? Those ninjas were really unlucky to run into such an ancient monster with Kage-level strength!"

"But if Kakuzu will be appearing on the road from Konoha to the Sand Village in a few days…"

"Let's not forget, I wanted to be Konoha's treasurer but didn't get the job. Meanwhile, Kakuzu is practically the treasurer of the Akatsuki, right?"

"My obsession with money is mostly due to the Life Simulator, but Kakuzu's greed is genuine—and he has a hoarding habit!"

"If I could rob Kakuzu…"

In his early simulations, Kakuzu had been a final boss figure, frequently killing Akira to exchange his head for bounty money.

But now?

To Akira, Kakuzu seemed more like a walking treasure trove!

This was his ticket to wealth—no doubt about it! Lying back down in bed, Akira drifted off to sleep, eagerly anticipating what was to come.

After a good night's rest, Akira woke up, freshened up, and ate breakfast before heading to the Hyuga household.

He arrived smoothly, greeted Hiashi Hyuga, and made his way inside.

Already strikingly handsome, Akira had gone the extra mile in his appearance for his first date, making him so attractive that he turned heads wherever he went.

"Go call the young lady," Hiashi instructed one of the servants after exchanging a few pleasantries with Akira.

A short while later, Hinata appeared, having clearly put effort into her appearance as well.

Dressed in a simple yet elegant outfit, she was the picture of a young girl blossoming into womanhood. Her cheeks flushed with a rosy hue, and she shyly glanced at Akira before quickly lowering her gaze.

"Shall we go, Hinata?" Akira asked with a smile.

"Mm-hmm," Hinata nodded softly, her voice barely above a whisper.

And with that, the two of them left the Hyuga estate together...

Kapitel 154: Chapter 154: First Date with Hinata

Uchiha Akira and the meticulously dressed Hinata Hyuga walked down the streets of Konoha together. Akira seemed calm and composed, while Hinata, on the other hand, was a bundle of nerves. She walked with her head down, tightly gripping the hem of her dress, following closely behind Akira.

Akira was naturally handsome, and with the addition of his distinctive dragon horns, he drew attention wherever he went. This only made Hinata more self-conscious, as she felt the weight of every gaze on her.

Hinata had always been somewhat of an invisible figure, both at home in the Hyuga clan and at the academy. But now, it felt as if she were the center of everyone's attention, which made her incredibly uncomfortable. She felt like a puppet on strings, her body moving stiffly as she tried to keep up with Akira.

"Hinata, weren't you supposed to be showing me around Konoha, pointing out how the village has changed over the years? It feels like we've swapped roles here," Akira said with a light-hearted tone, noticing how quiet she had been.

"Huh? I-I'm sorry, Akira-kun! I'll start explaining right away…" Hinata stammered, snapping out of her thoughts. Realizing she had been doing a poor job as a guide, she quickly moved to his side, feeling embarrassed.

"This is a dango shop," she pointed out shyly.

"And over here is a tavern."

"And this… is the hot springs."

Hinata's attempts at explaining were clumsy and endearing, so much so that Akira couldn't help but laugh. It was the first time in both of his lives that he had encountered such an adorably awkward girl.

Hinata, hearing his laughter, turned even redder. She realized her explanations were lacking and wasn't sure if she should continue.

"Hinata, there's no need to be so tense. We're just out for a walk, enjoying ourselves and chatting," Akira reassured her, noticing how nervous she was.

While her shyness was amusing, Akira knew it was his responsibility to make sure Hinata enjoyed their time together. After all, it was a date, and as the man, he should ensure she had a good experience.

"Oh, okay," Hinata replied softly, taking a deep breath to calm herself.

Yes, this was just a date—strolling around, having some fun, and maybe eating together. The official reason was to show Akira how Konoha had changed over the past seven years, but really, they spent the entire morning just enjoying each other's company.

They went shopping, tried some street food, and watched street performers. At first, Hinata was very nervous, but with Akira's encouragement, she slowly began to relax.

"Ugh, I just can't seem to catch any of these fish! This shopkeeper must be a con artist!" Akira exclaimed in frustration as he tried to scoop a goldfish with a paper-thin net. On his third attempt, the paper tore again, and the fish slipped away. He tossed the net aside in annoyance, ready to give up.

He turned to Hinata and joked, "What do you think, should I have this guy's shop shut down?"

Given his position as the head of the Anbu, closing down a single shop was well within his power.

"Actually, Akira-kun, this game isn't just about speed and reflexes—it's more about using a gentle touch," Hinata explained, sensing that Akira was half-joking but still wanting to help. She stepped forward, picked up a small net, and gently dipped it into the water.

Her movements were fluid and graceful, almost as if she were performing a dance. The goldfish, seemingly unaware, was scooped up with ease.

"Wow, that's amazing!" Akira said, genuinely impressed, giving her a thumbs-up.

"Maybe it's because we Hyuga practice Gentle Fist. This kind of delicate control is something I'm good at," Hinata replied with a shy smile, happy to receive his praise.

In her family and at the academy, Hinata often felt invisible, so receiving genuine praise from Akira was a rare and joyful experience.

"Alright, come on, show me how it's done. Help me out here," Akira said, extending his hand for her to guide him.

"This…" Hinata hesitated for a moment, unsure.

"What's the matter? You don't want to help me?" Akira asked, pretending to pout.

"No, it's not that!" Hinata quickly replied. She couldn't bring herself to refuse. Slowly, she reached out and gently took his hand, guiding him with a soft touch.

Her hand was warm and soft, like holding a delicate piece of silk. Together, they managed to scoop up a goldfish on the first try.

"Haha, we did it! Let's keep going!" Akira laughed, clearly enjoying himself.

With that small success, Hinata's nervousness seemed to ease, and the two continued playing the game together.

One fish, two fish, three fish… Before long, they had caught more than a dozen.

Satisfied with their fun, Akira and Hinata finally left the stall, continuing their walk hand in hand. Hinata instinctively tried to pull away at first, but Akira held her hand firmly.

Realizing she couldn't break free, she blushed deeply but didn't resist further.

"It's much easier to hold hands after what we've just been through," Akira thought to himself with a grin, feeling pleased with how things were progressing.

As they continued their date, it was already midday. They stopped for lunch, and afterward, Akira spotted a movie theater and decided to take Hinata to see a film.

Yes, the world of Naruto had movie theaters, as seen in the "Princess Fuun" movie arc with Koyuki Kazahana, the famous actress.

In fact, Akira had spent time in the Land of Snow during one of his life simulations, so he was familiar with the setting.

The theater was dark, which allowed Akira to hold Hinata's hand the entire time. Over the course of the two-hour movie, they weren't just holding hands.

Akira occasionally ran his fingers through her silky hair, deepening their bond. After all, a new relationship progresses not just through shared meals or outings but through these small, intimate gestures.

Holding hands was a significant step, and once that barrier was crossed, the rest followed naturally—an arm around the waist, a kiss, and so on…

This was the best way to accelerate their growing connection.

After the movie, they wandered around Konoha some more. By now, holding hands felt completely natural to both of them.

They had dinner together and then took a walk through some of the quieter, more scenic parts of the village.

Eventually, they arrived at a lakeside as the sun was setting. The view was beautiful, and they sat down on the grassy shore to enjoy it.

Akira gently put his arm around Hinata's shoulders, pulling her closer. She tensed up briefly but soon relaxed, leaning into him.

A young couple, in a romantic setting, everything felt just right.

"Well, looks like I've unlocked a new level. From now on, hugs and cuddles should be no problem," Akira thought to himself, proud of his progress.

"Akira-kun, you're so accomplished. You defeated the Third Tsuchikage in battle, and your name is known throughout the ninja world. But I… I'm just a girl from the Hyuga clan, with nothing special about me," Hinata said quietly, resting her head on his shoulder.

Even though she was technically a princess of the Hyuga clan, Hinata couldn't help but feel a bit inadequate next to Akira. He was just too exceptional.

She had grown up hearing stories of his feats, and now, even as she sat beside him, it all felt a little surreal.

"No, Hinata, you're far from ordinary," Akira responded gently. "In fact, when it comes to the purity of your Byakugan, your bloodline is the most powerful in the entire Hyuga clan."

"The reason your abilities seem unremarkable is because you're too kind-hearted to harm others."

"But if you're with me, your talent or strength doesn't matter. It's my job, as a man, to protect you from the world."

"Women don't need to stand beside me in battle. That's my role, and it would be a failure on my part if I needed you to do that."

Akira's words were sincere, and they came from the heart.

What did it matter if the Akatsuki came, or if Madara Uchiha or the Ōtsutsuki clan showed up? He would be the one to stand in front and face them.

If he ever needed Hinata to fight alongside him, that would mean he had failed to protect her.

"Alright, let's get you home," Akira said, finally standing up as the moon began to rise.

"Mm," Hinata replied with a sweet smile, naturally taking his hand as they walked back toward the Hyuga compound.

Hand in hand, they left the lakeside and headed home, the day's memories lingering between them.

Thank you, everyone, for the encouragement to continue. I'm not great at making speeches, so I'll leave it at that. As for why Hinata seems not in love with Naruto, there's an explanation for it, but you'll have to wait for that reveal.
