Elian stirred, a soft groan escaping his lips as the morning light filtered into his chambers, casting a warm glow over the room. He shifted on the plush mattress, stretching his limbs lazily while letting out a deep yawn.

His eyes blinked to adjust to the light as he shifted slightly, his hand instinctively reaching out to the other side of the bed.

But instead of the familiar warmth he was expecting, his fingers brushed against the cool emptiness of the sheets

Frowning, he turned his head, his disheveled hair falling over his forehead as he glanced at the other side of the bed. Izan's side of the bed was untouched, the covers neatly folded back. The spot was vacant, and the covers were neatly folded back, devoid of the warmth that would suggest Izan had only recently left.
