Instead of passing to either Alexis or Michael, Trey decided to go with the option that would give his team a clear goal-scoring opportunity. He cut back with his right foot, causing Owen to slide into nothing. Toby Sinclair (the other James Warslow center-back) seemed to realize what Trey was up to. He increased his speed and jammed Trey while he was still outside the box.

"Shit," Trey muttered under his breath. He almost dropped as soon as he was slammed by Toby. He gritted his teeth and mustered all the strength inside his body to try and move inside the penalty box.

When Toby saw that Trey didn't drop, he dragged Trey's shirt with the intention of bringing him down before he got to the box. His plan backfired, however, as he was too late to pull Trey down, and his tug gave Trey all the leverage he needed. With a loud yell, Trey crashed to the floor and rolled around in the grass.
