The steady rhythm of the rain against the carriage roof was calming at first, but it quickly turned into a torrential downpour, soaking the surrounding landscape. The once clear road was now shrouded in mist, and the distant trees blurred under the curtain of rain. The driver called out, his voice muffled by the weather, "Ah, it's raining heavily! Good thing we've got a roof!"

Inside the carriage, the mood shifted with the weather. Gray sat beside Maria, who shivered slightly from the sudden chill in the air. She rubbed her arms, trying to fight off the cold. "Burr... it's freezing," she murmured, her breath visible in the damp air.

Across from them, Vanisa and Liza sat, their faces reflecting the gloomy weather. Vanisa stretched out her arms, cracking a small smile. "Looks like it's the rainy season now. Just our luck." Her voice was light, but there was a subtle tension in the air from the cold seeping into their bones.
