We sat in Judge William's office, the faint aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafting from the tray his secretary nervously carried in. Her hand shook as she set down each cup, sneaking anxious glances toward the door. Just as she finished, Deputy Commissioner Joe entered, giving a nod to Max.

"Did you get the warrant for the arrest?" Max asked, his voice low but sharp.

Joe replied, "Yes. I had to go through High Court Judge Racheal to get it, but it's done."

We all nodded, watching as the secretary took a step back, her face pale as she stammered, "J-Judge William will be here in ten minutes. He's… wrapping up in the courtroom."

Max chuckled, his grin turning sly as he looked over at me. "How about a bet, Eli? I'm betting he won't see this coming."

I let out a low laugh, shaking my head. "I'll take that bet, but I'm calling it now—he'll try to act calm, but there'll be some sign of panic."
