AUTUMN'S POV

I left the apartment early, the crisp morning air bracing against my skin as I headed for the senatorial office. My mind was alert, my senses sharp, ready to gather any whispers or leads. Whitney's death was a hot topic. News stations couldn't get enough of it, and I made sure to keep my ears on the ground, listening to the speculation swirling around these incidents. I did not want Pa to be dragged into this mess or else his second election campaign would go down the drain. 

As I entered the office, I checked my phone. My informant's message popped up: " Armand's having an affair with Eli." I almost stopped in my tracks. Not only that, but it seemed Armand spent most of his time at the apartment Eli had moved into. I closed my phone with a subtle sigh. Armand's personal life was heating up at a dangerous time. It made me wonder what other secrets were buried beneath this growing scandal.
