"Hello there, I believe we haven't met," a voice echoed as Fred tried to make out the figure in front of him, which appeared blurry.

"Haven't you adjusted yet?" the voice asked, and Fred blinked, finding himself in a vibrant garden whose skies hosted various flying creatures that felt divine to him.

Fred looked around, noticing the flowers and plants swaying softly with his every movement as if avoiding his steps on instinct. The air felt different, his mental alertness softened, his being experiencing an unbelievable calm and completeness. He felt at ease even when he jolted backwards, noticing another being who was as tall as he was, sitting with a halo behind his back consisting of rotating tomoe drums, long earlobes with gold earrings at the ends, shirtless except for white baggy trousers.

But the being wasn't as intriguing to him as the river beside him that showed mirrors of various worlds, some of which he recognized as fictional characters and some belonging to his home world among countless others that flowed in the river.

"Wait a minute! Aren't you that tall lightning person from…" Fred began but was stopped by a hand gesturing for silence.

"Don't. He and I are not the same. Anyway, I have something important to tell you. You might want to sit down for this," the strange being said as Fred sat on a seat made out of a tree.

"Aria," Fred's host called, and a gorgeous lady with flawless skin and facial features, dressed in a maid outfit, appeared in front of them with a jug and two glasses, serving wine.

"Aria, this is the successor of that rude one, Fred. Fred, this is Aria. In her multiverse, they have a habit of ranking god-level beings, and she was a Defying God, the highest rank known. She is your senior in divinity, Fred. Where are my manners? Call me General," General introduced Aria and himself to the confused Fred, who reached for his cup.

"Were you not taught to wait for your seniors before you start eating or drinking?" Aria sighed, appearing behind General at speeds Fred couldn't perceive yet.

"Oh," Fred said but couldn't muster anger to retaliate and was tempted to remove his rings.

"Are those the ten divine rings of sealing? I see why you chose this one. But I still have to say, you favor humans a lot," Aria commented after sensing Fred's intent before he could even act on it.

"Maybe the next one won't be. Are you happy now?" General asked casually turning to Aria.

"Chose?" Fred asked, confused.

"I'm getting to that. I assume you already know how you got here and who I am?" General asked.

"I have a hunch that you're the one who sent me straight TO HELL!" Fred said, already trying to break out of the calm his body refused to leave.

"He's feisty, this one. Reminds me of Ulark, the god of stubbornness and righteous anger in the Nevael Heavens," Aria commented with a longing smile.

"Correct. But didn't you have a good time?" General asked with a wide smile.

"Are you… I am too mellow to argue, but it took a lot of getting used to my body and finding my way around a place with no ends and chicks that want to suck out your soul literally. Fun times, so fun I considered therapy for having too much fun, pal," Fred snickered.

"I can send you back, you know? I have no problems with you. I liked the way you handled things in hell and even made a powerful friend. If you want to go back, just say the word," General said as he reached for his cup and emptied it into his mouth.

"…No," Fred answered.

"Why? You know you are very much needed back in your home world. A very good software engineer at such a young age, the pride of AllSafe," General said as some of the water from the river flowed between them, showing Fred's work life and accomplishments.

"I know that you are not saying this because of what happened. So why stay when you have a free ticket to leave now and do great things back at home?" General asked in a somber tone, reclining on a large lounge chair suited to his size.

"The thing with Greg and my best friend wasn't something I had expected in a million years. But that's not the reason behind my answer," Fred said and reached for his cup again.

"Ah, young divine! You mustn't finish your drink in one go, or you will die! You are not strong enough to take it all at once!" Aria warned, her eyes widening with concern.

"What the? Haha, is this a joke? This isn't my first.." Fred laughed heartily but stopped when he noticed his senior wasn't smiling anymore.

"Are you kidding me? Then why serve me this drink?" Fred was bewildered, wondering how incompetent Aria must be to do this.

"This wine is extremely rare. Myriads of divines rarely get to taste this, and those who do haven't lived long enough to taste it a second time because of the rarity of the ingredients and its brewing method. I won't go into details, but it will help you in the long run," Aria explained.

"Can't they just replicate the ingredients or fast forward time or something?" Fred asked and left his cup to hover.

"Yes but… If their divinity isn't up to par, their name and accomplishments would be wiped out from all timestreams they have affected one way or another," Aria answered as Fred gulped.

"You haven't answered, young godling," General refocused the conversation.

"Godling? Okay, alright. I'll give you your answer," Fred began.

"WHO WOULDN'T WANT DOOM SLAYER'S POWERS FOR GOODNESS' SAKE?" Fred said ecstatically.

"Coupled with the perk of getting stronger, it's just a bonus! And I saw Diana; I didn't know she was that strong, and she's nice. Those Greek goddesses though… ugh… I mean (coughs), it's an experience many dream about. Do you know what it means to fly and fly at supersonic speeds and beyond? You might not get it, but it's thrilling for someone who was just a software engineer. Any human would love to fly and touch the heavens!"
