Kapitel 35: Boundaries

In town they bought everything they would need to get by for the next week. On the way back to the house Jared pulled the car into the parking area for an open-air market. He took Cora's hand, and they wandered around for a bit buying a few things as they went. Cora got a dress and a swimsuit cover-up. Jared bought a fedora and some silver jewelry for him and Cora.

They returned to the house putting everything away. Cora made a cup of coffee, and they ate the breakfast they had picked up at the restaurant in the shopping center. When Cora finished, she said she was going to change for swimming.

Cora came skipping back into the kitchen ten minutes later to find Jared checking messages on his phone. He looked over at her and his hand stilled and he swallowed convulsively. Cora in her little white bikini was not something he had been prepared for.
