The pink energy orb streaked forward, leaving a trail of pink light, colliding with the massive white energy blast that symbolized the Godly Smite. It was like a drop of rain hitting a lake—there was no explosive sound as one might expect.
Yet, within less than a second, the white energy blast, representing the Godly Smite, was completely absorbed by the pink energy orb Eriri had casually released, with no room for resistance.
After absorbing the Godly Smite, the pink orb, which was only about a dozen centimeters in diameter, didn't increase in size at all. It continued to shoot forward.
Since the Flügel had exhausted all their energy in casting the Godly Smite, they all reverted to their child forms and began falling from the sky. From a distance, Jibril swiftly flew over and carried them back to Avant Heim.
However, the group of Flügel lolis didn't relax at all. They all watched Artosh's direction with deep worry in their eyes.
Eriri's strength had far exceeded their expectations. They had once used their Godly Smite to kill gods, yet now Eriri had easily devoured it. They could now confirm that what they had seen through the spatial rift earlier was no illusion.
They were filled with fear and anxiety, worried that Artosh would not be able to defeat Eriri and afraid that he would fall at her hands.
The powerful pink energy orb continued to approach Artosh, and with each inch it moved forward, the space around it shattered, resembling glass being crushed.
Eriri's attack brought Artosh unprecedented pressure—a suffocating sense of impending death. Not even the time he faced the gods' siege had felt like this.
At that moment, his God of War Divine Essence unleashed its most powerful effect since its creation. The concept of "growing stronger against stronger foes" kept activating within him, causing his strength to skyrocket.
In the blink of an eye, Artosh's rapidly rising power reached its limit. No matter how much his Divine Essence tried to activate, his strength couldn't increase any further. Still, he could feel that his current power far surpassed any previous peak.
To him, the world now seemed fragile, easily shattered with a wave of his hand.
Yet, despite his enormous boost in power, the immense pressure from the pink energy orb remained overwhelming.
Artosh didn't dare let his guard down. He gathered all the power within him, preparing his strongest attack.
A destructive force, as if capable of annihilating everything, burst forth from Artosh, clashing with Eriri's pink energy orb. After a standoff lasting several seconds, the two forces finally neutralized each other.
As the energy dissipated from the sky, the shattered void began slowly mending itself.
"Galactic-level? Interesting." Eriri chuckled, finally showing a hint of interest.
Without a doubt, under the amplification of his "strongest" concept, Artosh had successfully reached the galactic level.
The pink energy orb Eriri had launched earlier had been a casual attack, yet it was enough to annihilate more than half a galaxy.
Artosh managing to block it meant he had at least achieved mid-Level 7 strength.
However, Artosh's condition was dire. His all-out attack had consumed over 90% of his energy. In other words, if Eriri launched another attack similar to the last one, he would have no chance of survival.
Defeat was inevitable.
"Warrior from another world, you are indeed powerful. The strongest opponent I have ever encountered since my birth," Artosh's voice echoed across the world, reaching every corner.
"But this is not the defeat I hoped for. The gap between us is too vast, so much so that it makes me despair. This battle has no excitement at all."
Before Eriri, Artosh couldn't maintain the pride of a God of War. The various races below could hear the sorrow in his voice, and the Flügel burst into tears, kneeling in despair.
Even Jibril looked at Artosh with a complex expression.
"Come then, I am ready to fall."
Gathering the last of his energy, Artosh charged at Eriri. And then, he fell.
With a flick of her hand, Eriri slapped Artosh on the head, sending him crashing from the sky. His head hit the ground first, his rear sticking up in the air as he lay there, unconscious.
Although the God of War had been defeated, none of the God species dared show themselves. After witnessing the battle, their desire for the Star Grail had completely vanished, especially with someone far stronger than Artosh standing in their midst.
On Avant Heim, the Flügel lolis became frantic upon seeing Artosh fall. They wanted to rush to his side, but Azrael stopped them just in time.
If the powerless Flügel had jumped from Avant Heim, they would have been severely injured.
Azrael turned to seek help from Avant Heim itself.
"Avent-kun, please send us to Lord Artosh's side, meow!"
There was no verbal response, but what happened next clearly indicated Avant Heim's stance.
A force suddenly enveloped all the Flügel lolis, except for Jibril, and transported them directly to Artosh's side.
Although Avant Heim was Artosh's apostle, it had no intention of resisting Eriri. When Eriri first descended upon Avant Heim, she had pressured it into submission, which was why it hadn't taken any action afterward.
Ignoring the now-pitiful Artosh, Eriri returned to Avant Heim, where she was immediately greeted by Jibril, who hugged her leg tightly.
"Master, you're amazing!" Jibril exclaimed excitedly, rubbing her small face against Eriri's white, smooth leg.
Then her expression turned serious as she looked up at Eriri. "Thank you, Master, for sparing Lord Artosh."
By not killing Artosh, Eriri had effectively saved the lives of all the Flügel.
Though Jibril wouldn't have felt any sadness if Artosh had died, she knew that if he had perished, the other Flügel would have lost their will to live, committing mass suicide following the death of their creator.
"Do you think I'm some kind of bloodthirsty maniac? If I were, do you think you'd still be here hugging my leg after challenging me?" Eriri placed her right hand on Jibril's head, ruffling her hair, making Jibril giggle foolishly.
At that moment, a soft voice came from the side.
"Sister, welcome back."
Eriri turned to see Schwi still standing where she had left her. It seemed that Schwi hadn't moved an inch because of Eriri's instructions before leaving.
Eriri noticed that Schwi's gaze was focused on her right hand, which was currently on Jibril's head.
"Mm, I'm back. Schwi, come over here."
Eriri waved Schwi over, and when she approached, Eriri placed her empty left hand on her head as well, ruffling her hair. Schwi closed her eyes, quietly enjoying the feeling of Eriri's hand.
Several minutes later, Artosh regained consciousness and, along with the Flügel lolis, was brought back to Avant Heim, where they appeared in front of Eriri.
Despite his injuries, Artosh didn't bother with maintaining his image and simply sat on the ground. Even so, he still towered over Eriri and the others.
"Why didn't you kill me?" Artosh's voice was still as loud and booming as ever, despite his weakened state.
"What? Do you really want to die that badly?" Eriri responded.
"That is the fate of the defeated."
"If you really want to die, then go ahead and self-destruct your divine essence. I won't stop you."
Eriri was somewhat baffled by Artosh's thought process. As the saying goes, "Better to live humbly than die proudly." As long as you're alive, there's hope. Once you're dead, it's over.
What? You say the gods will recover their divinity and come back to life after a while?
No way, right? No way someone seriously thinks that anyone who dies by Eriri's hand still has a chance at resurrection?
"Alright, let's see what the Star Grail is like." Ignoring Artosh, Eriri turned her attention to the real issue at hand—the Star Grail.
Although she could've simply pierced through the planet and destroyed the Spirit Corridor to reveal the Star Grail, for Eriri, there was no need for such hassle.
With a mere gesture of her right hand, the Star Grail, coveted by the gods, appeared directly above her palm.
The Star Grail took the form of a star-shaped dodecahedron, emitting a faint glow.
Although it appeared unremarkable, the essence emanating from the Star Grail spread throughout all of Avant Heim. Anyone holding it would instantly become the One True God, wielding absolute control over the universe of No Game No Life.
Everyone's eyes were fixed on the Star Grail, including Artosh's.
In fact, Artosh had once had a great chance to claim the Star Grail. If he had pierced the planet with overwhelming force, the Grail would have likely manifested right in front of him. However, his arrogance had cost him the opportunity.
Now, he would never get the chance to touch it again.
Under everyone's watchful gaze, Eriri slowly grasped the Star Grail. However, no changes occurred in her body, nor did her strength increase in the slightest.
The Star Grail in Eriri's hand seemed no more than a simple toy.
"How does it feel, Master, to hold the Star Grail?" Jibril asked excitedly, her face full of anticipation.
"Not much different. For me, the Star Grail is just a useless piece of junk." Eriri casually tossed the Star Grail up and down in her hand, completely indifferent.
This casual dismissal made Artosh, along with the other God species watching from afar, involuntarily twitch. Their lifelong goal had been to claim the Star Grail, fighting and dying for it. Now, someone had called it worthless.
If they weren't completely outmatched, they would've swarmed Eriri by now to seize the Grail.
The chat group was buzzing with excitement. Since Eriri had kept her livestream going, everyone had seen the Star Grail.
[Elaina (Level 3, Stage 7): The Star Grail can grant any wish, right? Drooling.jpg]
[Arifureta (Level 4, Stage 2/Group Leader): Of course! By holding the Star Grail, you gain control of the entire universe. Making a wish is child's play.]
[Rias Gremory (Level 2, Stage 8): A legendary artifact that can fulfill all desires—truly unbelievable.]
[Kaguya Shinomiya (Level 1, Stage 3): But why did Eriri-sama say the Star Grail is useless? Confused.jpg]
[Arifureta (Level 4, Stage 2/Group Leader): I'm not sure, but it's probably because Eriri is so strong that the Star Grail doesn't really add much for her.]
[Kaguya Shinomiya (Level 1, Stage 3): Wow, amazing! Eriri-sama truly is incredible! Worship.jpg]
[Chika Fujiwara (Level 3, Stage 5): Kaguya-chan, you've changed a lot…]
[Kaguya Shinomiya (Level 1, Stage 3): Have I? Oh Chika, you're such a joker.]
[Chika Fujiwara (Level 3, Stage 5): …]
[Luo Cuilian (Level 5, Stage 4): If possessing the Star Grail gives you control over a universe, isn't that similar to gaining the authority of a god after slaying a Heretic God in our world? Does that mean we also have a Star Grail in our universe?]
[Ruri Gokou (Level 2, Stage 9): Yeah, with the Star Grail, we wouldn't need to worry about points anymore.]
[Arifureta (Level 4, Stage 2/Group Leader): The Star Grail is unique to the No Game No Life world. Other universes don't have it.]
[Ruri Gokou (Level 2, Stage 9): Oh, okay. Disappointed.jpg]
[Haramura Nodoka (Level 1, Stage 2): Um…]
[Eriri (Level 8, Stage 5): Um…]
[Luo Cuilian (Level 5, Stage 4): Oh, Eriri-chan, you're here.]
[Kaguya Shinomiya (Level 1, Stage 3): Congratulations, Eriri-sama, on obtaining the Star Grail.]
[Eriri (Level 8, Stage 5): Actually, the Star Grail isn't as amazing as you all think.]
[Ruri Gokou (Level 2, Stage 9): I knew it. There's no way something could be that convenient.]
[Haramura Nodoka (Level 1, Stage 2): …]
[Kiss-Shot (Level 4, Stage 4): Is that so? But based on the memory visions, the Star Grail seemed incredibly powerful.]
[Arifureta (Level 4, Stage 2/Group Leader): Could you explain it to us, Eriri? What exactly does the Star Grail do?]
[Jibril (Level 3, Stage 9): The Star Grail is incredibly powerful! The whole war started because the God species were fighting over it!]
[Eriri (Level 8, Stage 5): Yes, holding the Star Grail does allow you to reach the peak of Level 8.]
[Chika Fujiwara (Level 3, Stage 5): !!!]
[Yuuki Asuna (Level 3, Stage 3): !!!]
[Ruri Gokou (Level 2, Stage 9): !!!]
[Rias Gremory (Level 2, Stage 8): !!!]
[Shinobu Kochou (Level 3, Stage 9): Amazing!]
[Kaguya Shinomiya (Level 1, Stage 3): Doesn't that mean it makes you even stronger than you are now, Eriri-sama?! Shocked.jpg]
[Eriri (Level 8, Stage 5): Wait, don't get ahead of yourselves. I haven't finished yet.]
[Eriri (Level 8, Stage 5): But!]
After typing that message, Eriri stopped, leaving everyone hanging.
Several minutes later…
[Chika Fujiwara (Level 3, Stage 5): And then? Don't leave us hanging!]
