Jacquelyn and Kael had arrived at Adele's cave earlier, as Kael had thought it was empty. The vesper was yet to return to her cave since that night at Kishadel.

"Do you think she's still alive?" Jacquelyn asked, feeling the eerie vibe that came from the cave. As much as she wanted to accept Adele to be on their side, the woman still gave her the chills. She looked like she knew something others didn't, and she made a joke about it in her head.

Kael pointed at a candle that was still on, the only light in the cave. "She's still alive as long as that is on," he replied. "She told me I could bring her back if she missed her way home. Never thought the day would actually arrive."

Jacquelyn nodded, feeling goosebumps rise on her arm as she rubbed it. Everything about Adele was either scary, strange, or different. The woman was clearly in her own league.
