Resting on the rooftop, Kael held his head up with his hands as he stared at the morning sky. He had a playful smile on his lips while humming a soft melody. He could imagine Doom's predicament already, trapped in an amulet and scrambling for a way to escape. Kael decided to think; if he wanted to find Adele, he needed to go back to what might have happened at the ruined church that night... or what had not happened.

"The witch," Kael pushed himself up, raising one leg. "I did warn the witch to die somewhere nobody is watching when she is ready," the vampire sighed.

What didn't happen was that Griselda wasn't there to welcome Jacquelyn when she was back, and that was it. If anything should have happened to Adele or the amulet, then it should be the one who wasn't there.
