Kapitel 94: King of the night

Jacquelyn looked down at Kael's hand, then at his face. Oh, how curious she was. She wanted to know where he was going and exactly what he was going to show her, but... she didn't have the courage to.

"Shame," Kael clicked his tongue when he saw the hesitation in the girl's eyes. "I would have been good," he said, closing the carriage door.

Jacquelyn pushed the curtain to the side, but when she looked out, Kael was no longer standing there.

"Should I have taken his hand?" she asked herself with a small gulp before looking ahead, wondering where Kael was going. She had wanted to ask him if she would see Grisie soon. With a soft exhale, Jacquelyn reclined on the carriage couch, her body shifting to the side as the carriage bumped on little pebbles and rocks. She was going back to Morville Castle.
