The next day was different at Morville Castle. Griselda woke up very early to prepare breakfast for Jacquelyn, and the sound of clattering pots and plates filled the kitchen. Ballister, on the other hand, got his master's breakfast ready since Kael preferred his blood in a cup in the morning and directly from humans by night. It was peculiar, but that was just how his master was.
As everyone in the castle did their part, Jacquelyn washed up as soon as she woke. She didn't want Griselda to offer her help until she figured out where the mark on her chest had come from. After bathing, she wore one of the dresses she had gotten the previous day; it was pastel in color, off-shoulder, tight at the waist, and flowing down to cover her legs. The sleeves stopped at her elbows and were adorned with flowery imprints.
