Kapitel 115: Seed

The yard remained eerily silent after the last of the Coven soldiers fell leaving the air filled with the scent of blood.

Liam leaned against the cold stone pillar trying to steady his breath, but the pain in his chest was growing worse. He clutched his axes tighter. His vision momentarily blurring as another wave of cold shot through his veins.

The curse was clawing at him again. He forced himself to stand tall, refusing to show any sign of weakness in front of the warriors around him.

But one soldier noticed.

Bjorn with sharp eyes glanced over and saw the faint tremor in Liam's stance. His brow furrowed as he caught sight of Liam's grimace, the pale shade creeping back into his face.

Bjorn quickly moved closer, gripping Liam's shoulder with a firm hand.

"Liam, you're not looking so good," Bjorn said. "Are you alright?"

Liam forced a tight smile and nodding despite the pain that clawed at his chest.

"I'm fine," he replied. "Just a little winded. Don't worry about me."
