Kapitel 184: Forgot About Your Mate

On silent feet, Axis Where The World Turns raced through the densely packed forest. The bright green leaves reached out and tried to entangle him in their poisonous foliage, but he was much too fast for them. 

He had grown up in these forests of Uujka, and the species that was out hunting him didn't stand a chance. 

Letting out a low chuckle, he ducked his head, allowing a tiny body the size of his palm to fly over his head and crash into the tree trunk in front of him. There was a sickening crunch as the creature's bones broke on impact. Its four transparent wings fluttered uselessly for a click before the body slid down the rough bark and onto the forest floor. 

Before he could blink, Axis watched a small four legged mammal dart out from under a bush and snap up the body. 

Waste not, want not, and all that shit.

Sliding to a stop, he turned around, his muzzle twisted into a smile as at least 50 more of them came to a dead stop in front of him.
