Kapitel 66: Ma’stbaut  

I blinked a few times, surprised at his inhuman speed. Then again, since he was clearly an alien, I guess that made sense.

Placing my hands on the hard exoskeleton of his tail, I was surprised to find it warm to the touch. "Are you okay?" I asked, cocking my head to the side as I studied the 'flesh' under my hand. It was a glossy black color that seemed to suck in all the light around it. I almost expected it to be wet or moist by its look, but I was surprised to feel that it was dry and smooth.

"Apologies," grunted the male, taking one of his claws and slicing the cuff on his opposite wrist. I was surprised to see that he only had four fingers on each hand, well, three fingers and a thumb. The black claws looked like a velociraptor's, almost the same length as my own finger. "It has a mind of its own."
