After going through the reports, it hadn't taken long for Clarence to assess the situation that Chester Jesso managed to get entangled in. The damn hotheaded youngster had no diplomacy when it came to handling his parents, it seemed.

Clarence listened with mild bafflement at the mess this young man managed to get into. His mouth twitched slightly as he contemplated the various scenarios that led up to his ill-timed decision and sighed inwardly. This mirrored my past far too eerily. Look where it landed me. I was in complete solitude and isolated from all other beings until this young lad and his brother showed up.

Clarence shook his head mentally when he realized he'd been just as bad at judging the situation so harshly. He had misjudged them so thoroughly, but that was his prejudice when lumping them in with the crown prince.
