29.65% Dimensional Kaguya Ōtsutsuki / Chapter 153: Meteor Falling From The Sky

Kapitel 153: Meteor Falling From The Sky

Kaguya found it surprising that the always cold young master would do something like reporting information. After all, she didn't have much of a relationship with Sasuke. Perhaps he deliberately revealed it to embarrass her due to their bad relationship.

Kaguya thought to herself.

But in any case, since the secret was out, it was out. Once such a thing is exposed, it doesn't feel like a big deal anymore. Besides, keeping it hidden all the time isn't good either. Since she was leaving, she should at least say goodbye.

With her mind settled, Kaguya's mood improved considerably, and a faint smile appeared on her lips, sweeping away her previous gloom.

The six of them returned home, to the house Kaguya had bought many years ago, which still stood there. It hadn't changed much; not only were the furniture and decorations the same as before, but even the placement of the books was exactly as she remembered. The room was very tidy, without a speck of dust, suggesting someone regularly came to clean.

If there was a difference, it was that the surrounding environment had changed significantly.

What was once an ordinary neighborhood was now surrounded by a large garden, enveloping the small house.

Opening the window, the first thing one would see was the dark green artificial lake, glistening under the moonlight. Around the lake, on the embankment, were lush green willows, their tender branches swaying gently in the breeze like thousands of silk threads. The view was full of greenery, and in the inky night, it appeared even more serene and deep.

"What are you thinking about?" Mei Terumi swayed her slim waist as she gracefully approached, resting her white arm on the windowsill, leaning her body against the wall, which accentuated her curvaceous figure.

"Nothing much," Kaguya replied with a bright smile, "I was just thinking how nice it would be if things could always stay like this."

"As long as you want it, it can be that way," Mei Terumi's crystalline eyes flashed with a hint of softness as she tugged on Kaguya's hand.

"Some things can't be controlled just by wishing," Kaguya looked up at the starry sky, where dark clouds drifted in from the horizon, adding a touch of haze to the stars. "Whose fate can truly be in their own hands?"

"You seem to have something on your mind," Mei Terumi paused, a trace of unease flashing in her eyes. "Can you tell me?"

"Though I've always avoided telling you," Kaguya sighed, "I feel it's better for you to know."

Seeing Kaguya's solemn expression and hearing her serious tone, the smile on Mei Terumi's face gradually faded as she quietly asked, "Is it really that serious?"

As Kaguya was about to speak again, Cat-Ear loli ran over, jingling the little bells on her clothes—bells that Kaguya had bought for her in town.

She reached out with her soft little hands, tugged on Kaguya's clothes, and looked up with a pitiful expression, saying, "I'm hungry."

"I almost forgot to cook. I'll go to the kitchen and let you all try my cooking." Kaguya's eyes curved into crescents, one of the few things she could proudly show off. Her father was a top chef, so she had naturally picked up excellent cooking skills.

With this interruption, the previous topic was left unmentioned.

However, a hint of worry appeared on Mei Terumi's beautiful face. She bit her lip but ultimately said nothing.

Kaguya entered the kitchen as if stepping into her own domain. The various kitchen tools felt natural in her hands, and she sliced vegetables with ease. The six-inch knife flickered in her hand, flashing cold light. The rhythmic "da-da-da" sound was crisp and pleasant.

In no time, Kaguya had sliced the potatoes, green peppers, and carrots into uniformly long strips, displaying her exceptional skills. Even a chef with twenty or thirty years of experience couldn't match her knife work.

After all, Kaguya possessed the Tenseigan, and under its influence, every grain and fiber of the vegetables was visible, making it an invaluable tool. Sometimes Kaguya thought that if she ever fell on hard times, she might make a name for herself as a top-tier chef with this skill.

Before long, a rich and enticing aroma wafted from the kitchen. Those present couldn't help but salivate, swallowing as they eagerly awaited the meal.

Unfortunately, Kaguya wouldn't let them into the kitchen, saying she wanted to give them a surprise; otherwise, they would have rushed in to feast.

"Here it is!"

The food was finally ready and served on the table: shredded potatoes, Kung Pao chicken, sweet and sour carp, braised pork, vinegar eggplant, white-cut chicken, and more, filling the table with a dazzling array of dishes.

These dishes were unknown in this world. The world of "Naruto" had long been plagued by war, and meals were generally only for sustenance. The food for ninjas might have been a little better, but ordinary people usually did not have such rich meals.

In Kaguya's view, aside from the dumplings, the local dishes were barely palatable and couldn't compare to the famous dishes honed over centuries. So whenever possible, Kaguya cooked for herself to satisfy her culinary cravings.

"I always heard Yugao say you were a good cook, and at first, I didn't believe it. Now, I kind of do." Mei Terumi said, her delicate nose twitching as she smelled the fragrant aroma.

"Of course, everyone, please dig in." Kaguya beamed with pride. Getting acknowledgment and praise made the effort of cooking worthwhile.

But just as everyone was about to dig in, a bright light flashed outside the window, followed by loud explosions echoing from afar.

Startled, Kaguya hurried to the window and looked into the distance. The place where the explosions occurred was engulfed in smoke and fire, with flames not just in one location but erupting in multiple spots, soaring into the sky.

"Look at the sky!" Mei Terumi exclaimed, her mouth slightly agape as if she had seen something incredible.

Following Mei Terumi's direction, Kaguya looked at the dark night sky and her pupils constricted.

Somehow, the pitch-black sky had turned as bright as day, and there were countless meteors, trailing long flames, plummeting toward the ground with immense force.
