"Bea is much higher at 745 SP while I am more than half-way to the system upgrade with 57 GP."

Kain really wanted to sleep but he knew that he should continue condensing his own spiritual power.

His has grown at a fast rate thanks to Bea, but there are benefits to doing the hard-work yourself.

When condensing the spiritual energy, your control over the force also gradually increases.

This is extremely beneficial when attempting to condense your next star.

Additionally, fine control over spiritual power is absolutely necessary when attempting to learn spiritual power techniques.

Kain uncovered the skylight above his bed, a feature of all homes of the Celestial Empire to all the efficient absorption of spiritual power from the stars.

Technically, spiritual power could be absorbed from the environment or all manner of other things depending on the method used.

For example, Bea's ability to absorb spiritual power from the brains of her hosts.

However, within the Celestial Empire the spiritual power condensation method taught to all citizens from birth utilizes the stars.

'Although I heard that there are other countries with different methods of absorbing spiritual power'

'All had their pros and cons. Maybe I will find a method that suits me better in the future.'

However this method has been the one that their country has been built upon, a cultivation road already paved by the greats that came before him.

Kain did not feel too tired although he got no sleep last night. It may be due to his improved constitution as his strength increases.

Kain moved his eyes to his hands while concentrating. Eventually a pink glow began to appear in his palms.

'My control over my spiritual power has also improved. I wouldn't have been able to manifest my spiritual power outside my body so quickly in the past.' He thought, reasserting his decision to condense spiritual energy for himself.

'Although the System hasn't shown me much help yet, it sure is handy having an exact measurement of spiritual power for Bea and I.'

Thinking of the brilliant pink hue that just came out of his hands. Most people, without the precise instruments usually available only at colleges and rich households that could afford them, would have to base their progress completely off of the gradual shift in the colour of their spiritual power.

Then they'd have to continue absorbing without knowing exactly how close they are until they feel the bottleneck, unable to absorb any more.

At which point it will be time to condense their next star.

Now that there were no longer any stars in the sky, Kain jumped up and headed into town, before leaving into the wilderness again, there was something he desperately wanted to buy.
