Kapitel 19: Chapter 19 - Father’s advice

"Dad!" Lara called out in an ingratiating manner and turned around to see her father seated in the living room slowly sipping tea.

Somehow his calm demeanor just made her more nervous.

After a few minutes of her just standing there and her father keeping quiet and focused on his tea, she thought it wise to explain herself.

" I just slept off and only woke up this morning," she said, her voice getting smaller and smaller to the end as her father finally turned to face her.

"Lara Arabelle Brown" he called out in a low yet threatening voice.

"Sir," she replied, feeling, all the nerves in her body tensed up.

"Meet me in the Study," he said and walked towards the study room.

Lara waited until her father's silhouette could no longer be seen and and to the kitchen and drank a glass of water.
