Kapitel 96: Chapter 96: Robin?

Grand Line.

Island of White Earth, Baldigo!

This little-known, desolate island serves as the Headquarters of the Revolutionary Army. A technologically advanced submarine floated slowly from the sea, and the next moment, lightning flashed.

Shiro appeared on the submarine, gazing at the massive island ahead.

Baldigo, known as the Island of White Earth, is far from small, but it looks barren and abandoned. As the Headquarters of the Revolutionary Army, it reflects the current state of the organization.

Shiro had been in the Navy for ten years, battling countless pirates, but his interactions with the Revolutionary Army were minimal. He knew little about them, though they were once seen as the only force capable of overthrowing the World Government.

However, given the current situation, the idea of the Revolutionary Army challenging the World Government and the Navy Headquarter seemed foolish. Apart from the enigmatic leader, Monkey D. Dragon, the rest of the Revolutionary Army's cadres were not particularly notable. This perception might be a result of limited information, as hidden strengths could exist within their ranks. Still, on paper, the Revolutionary Army appeared far weaker than the World Government. Over the years, they had slowly grown by starting from small countries.

An enemy of an enemy is a friend. Shiro's visit to the Revolutionary Army wasn't just for an old friend; he intended to forge alliances and explore potential cooperation. The World Government's power was unfathomable, a fact underscored by the Five Elders' treatment of the Navy. Despite Shiro's immense personal strength and his powerful system, he couldn't single-handedly suppress the world. Thus, recruiting strong cadres and forming alliances were necessary strategies.

However, Shiro's immediate goal was to bring that old friend away. He wasn't sure how the Revolutionary Army would react, especially since Nico Robin, the so-called Demon Child, held special significance to them.

Inside the Revolutionary Army Headquarters.

Nico Robin, who had redeemed herself during the incident, had been resting and was now mentally and physically revitalized. Her appearance had changed significantly, though she paid little attention to such external matters. At the moment, she was engrossed in examining historical materials stored by the Revolutionary Army, including information on the Archaeological Island of Ohara. The Revolutionary Army's records were close to the truth, though the World Government and the Navy Headquarter had long since blocked such information.

These days, only a few still remembered the archaeological island of Ohara.

"Sister Robin, how did you survive all those years? It's unbelievable; you were just a child back then," Kerla, a Revolutionary Army intelligence officer, looked at Robin with a blush, her curiosity piqued.

Robin smiled softly at Kerla's genuine interest, though her eyes briefly betrayed the lingering pain of her past. Since Ohara's destruction, her life had been a series of narrow escapes. Living constantly on the run had forced her to develop the means to protect herself.

"When I was young, I was always hiding. As I grew older, I learned how to defend myself. The most dangerous time was when a group of bounty hunters, who had been tracking me for years, finally caught me. I managed to kill two of them, but I was still overpowered and nearly handed over for the bounty."

As Robin recounted her story, Kerla found it odd. Despite recalling painful memories, Robin's expression hinted at something sweeter.

Did Robin fall for one of the bounty hunters during her escape?

"How did you escape in the end?" Kerla's curiosity got the better of her.

"I was saved by a young sailor. He was younger than me but already seemed like a reliable man," Robin said with a soft smile, the fondness in her voice unmistakable.

"A sailor? Younger than you? How did he defeat the bounty hunters that captured you?" Kerla was astonished.

"Yes, even back then, his swordsmanship and physical abilities were impressive," Robin continued with a wistful smile. The one known as the strongest Rear Admiral in Navy history had been formidable even in his youth. Despite being injured, the remaining bounty hunters were caught off guard when they encountered him, leading to Robin's rescue.

Subsequently, she became his "captive," and despite their few meetings, the bond they shared remained.

"Oh! The strongest Rear Admiral in Navy history? That sounds familiar…" Kerla's excitement turned to realization as her expression shifted.

"Sister Robin, the person you're talking about isn't… the Navy traitor who destroyed Marineford, now one of the world's most notorious criminals with a bounty of 3.58 billion Bellies… Shiro, right?"

"Yes, it was Shiro, the young sailor who saved me."
