With Gu Jianci's final words, the scene dissolved into glowing particles, and Gu Jianci's voice turned lighter like a fading wind, "Feng Zhexuan, this is the last time you will have this nightmare. You are free now. We are all free now."

With the fading voice, Feng Zhexuan jolted awake and gasped for breath. His gaze was fixed to the ceiling as he realized that the room was dimly lit and the sky outside already dark.

"Husband, are you alright? Are you having another nightmare?" Yan Yuling's worried voice broke through his daze.

Turning to her, Feng Zhexuan reached out to touch her pale cheeks. Looking into his wife's reddened eyes, he said quietly, "Wife, they are gone," 

Yan Yuling's eyes filled with tears when she heard this. She nodded and said hoarsely, "I know… They said goodbye to me."

Feng Zhexuan hesitated before asking, "Wife, are you okay?"

Tears spilled down her face as Yan Yuling shook her head.
