Daniel, despite knowing the culprit behind the vandalism, chose not to seek revenge for the damage Johnny had caused. However, not everyone shared his perspective. Daniel's cousin was furious, feeling that Johnny had disrespected their family name. Determined to take action, he planned to meet up with a couple of friends to destroy Johnny's car. He decided to wait a few days to avoid raising suspicion.
As time passed, I noticed a familiar face appearing near the dealership: Robby. I recalled that this was around the time Daniel would hire him to clean the cars. I knew I had to stay away to ensure that my interference wouldn't jeopardize my plans. For now, I would remain an observer.
In training, I sparred with Daniel, and his experience was evident. Over the past few months, he had regained his strength and speed, becoming a formidable opponent. We had gone from me winning eight out of ten matches to now being closer to a 50/50 split. Although I was physically stronger, his experience shone through like never before.
"2-1 for Sensei. Ready, fight!" Sam announced.
I charged in, aiming for Daniel's head with a punch, but he deftly deflected my arm and pushed me back. I quickly got into a stance and tried to kick his head, but he anticipated my move and swept my legs. I jumped to avoid the sweep, using the momentum to launch a roundhouse kick toward his chest. I blocked, but the impact sent me flying back. I flipped in the air and landed on my feet, pushing forward and sprinting toward Daniel with astounding speed. He tried to dodge to the side, but I was too fast, sweeping his feet and making him fall to the ground.
Turning back, I aimed to finish him with a drop kick, but he crossed his arms, absorbing the full force of my attack. He shook from the impact as I got off him.
"Point 2-2, Jack!" Sam yelled.
Daniel looked at me with a questioning expression. "What point? I blocked!"
"If he had gone all out, your chest would have collapsed," Sam replied, and I nodded in agreement.
Daniel sighed, murmuring, "What are they feeding kids these days?"
He got back up into a stance. "Match point. Ready, fight!" Sam declared.
This time, Daniel made the first move. He feigned a stomach punch, but I saw through it. He then executed a roundhouse kick, which I managed to grab and throw over my shoulder. He got up immediately and aimed a punch at my face. I caught his arm and pulled him toward me, but that was exactly what he wanted. He slid behind me and tripped me, causing me to fall to the ground. As he punched toward my head, I caught his hand and flipped him over onto his back.
I got up quickly to punch him, but he kicked up, hitting my chest and knocking me back. We both scrambled to our feet as Sam announced, "3-2, Winner: Sensei!" She raised Daniel's hand in victory.
"Why are you so happy with my defeat? I thought you were here to support me!" I said with mock childish anger.
Sam pouted with a playful expression before responding, "If you had won, I would have supported you." She turned around, crossing her arms.
I snuck up behind her and kissed her on the cheek, and we both burst into laughter. Daniel felt a mix of betrayal and happiness as he watched his daughter grow closer to a boy, knowing that this was a part of life. Suddenly, he said, "500 push-ups for turning your back on your opponent."
I groaned and started doing push-ups, but my task became even harder when a fifteen-year-old girl sat on my back. Sam, with a hyper-sophisticated expression, declared, "500 simple push-ups aren't enough for the level of disrespect you've committed, so I'll make your task more demanding." She tried to hold back her laughter but soon erupted into hysterics.
I continued doing push-ups with an evil grin, determined to complete the challenge.
When I finally finished, I pushed up with all my strength, sending her back a couple of meters. She fell onto her butt, feigning a teary expression. "Ouch, that hurt!" she exclaimed before starting to fake cry.
I leaned down and kissed her on the cheek. "Don't cry now; it will get better."
She stopped crying and smiled evilly, pulling me to the ground and sitting on my stomach. "You're right; it's getting better."
Just then, Daniel interrupted, "Get up! I have an important announcement."
We scrambled to our feet, and Daniel continued, "Tomorrow, we're getting another student. He's the same age as you and has shown great promise."
Sam asked, "That's interesting! What's his name?"
"Robby Keene. I want you to treat him with respect and, as the more experienced student, show him the ways of Miyagi-Do," Daniel instructed.
We both replied, "Yes, Sensei."
As I thought about Robby joining us, I felt a surge of excitement. Now that Robby is finally here, I can start showing my real strength. It's...
Little did I know, the arrival of Robby would change everything, intertwining our lives in ways I could never have anticipated.
