Xiang Yu stumbled through the backdoor of the nightclub, the heavy metal door slamming shut behind him. The alley was dimly lit, the only illumination coming from a flickering streetlamp at the far end. The stench of garbage and stale alcohol filled the air, and the ground was littered with discarded bottles and crumpled flyers. His head throbbed with a pain so intense it felt like his skull was being split open.

A cat munching on a discarded half eaten pizza slice was startled by his sudden appearance. It hissed and darted away from a dumpster where it had been scavenging. Xiang Yu barely noticed. He leaned against the cool brick wall, closing his eyes for a moment as pain lanced through his temples like shards of glass. It throbbed with every beat of his heart but he couldn't afford to be worried about that right now.
