At the Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong, Sir Michael Kadoorie accompanied Arthur Smith for afternoon tea.
"Arthur, I didn't expect to see you in Hong Kong." Michael looked at Arthur and remarked, "Is the Daily Mirror now supporting the Labour Party?"
Arthur chuckled, "You're in Hong Kong and still keeping tabs on British affairs? I met Labour Party leader Tony Blair last year. We got along really well. What the Daily Mirror publishes is up to their reporters and editors; how could I interfere with free speech?"
"The Labour Party can offer you what the Conservative Party can too," Michael said, as his family was also a supporter of the Conservatives.
Arthur raised an eyebrow, "Your family has been settled in Hong Kong for over a hundred years, and you're discussing British politics with me, an American? That's a big joke."
With that, Arthur stood up. "All right, I've got to go."

[Chapter 564: Chaos in Indonesia]
Twister has begun its release in Hong Kong, and at the same time, Tomorrow Never Dies producer Barbara Broccoli has arrived in Hong Kong to scout locations for the film.

"Ever since John Woo and Jackie Chan found success in America, many top talents in Hong Kong have shifted to Hollywood." Arthur nodded in agreement. "Yeah, local box office numbers aren't that significant anymore."
As he spoke, Arthur rolled over, pressing himself against the lady and began kissing her.
"Mmm," Rosamund responded passionately.
"It's already June, and I need to join the cast for a romantic comedy," Rosamund said, catching her breath.
Then, Arthur scooped Rosamund up and carried her into the bedroom.

In the office of Central Plaza, Arthur leaned back in his chair, holding the phone. "The first step can begin. I want the scandal and corruption news about Indonesian President Suharto to spread internationally," he said. "At the same time, let's promote the Indonesian economic bubble; a corrupt economy is the biggest tumor for Indonesia!"
After hanging up, Arthur called in Carl Anderson to his office.
"Sir!"
Arthur glanced at him, "Have the CIA stir up some trouble in Indonesia -- protests, demonstrations, anything works. Basically, we need to create chaos to coincide with the disclosure of President Suharto's scandal."
"Now, take care of this guy while we're at it!" He passed over a photo of Suharto's son-in-law, Prabowo Subianto.
Carl Anderson nodded, "They've been preparing for quite some time."

As time went on, international news continuously revealed the corruption within Suharto's family, exposing the rot to the Indonesian people and the world. Suharto had three sons and three daughters, with numerous siblings, all of whom held significant positions in various departments, wielding great power.
Suharto's family controlled a vast array of industries in Indonesia, including manufacturing, automotive, telecommunications, real estate, media, banking, construction, oil, and aviation -- it could be said that the entire economic lifeline of Indonesia was completely dominated by this family!
Throughout June, Indonesia was in a boiling state, erupting in numerous protests. Simultaneously, opposition to Suharto's rule grew louder.
In early July, during a massive protest in Jakarta, Indonesian Reserve Commander Prabowo Subianto ordered the suppression of demonstrators. Three days later, on their way home after attending a dance, Prabowo and his wife were killed in a bomb attack!
As Suharto's son-in-law and confidant, Prabowo's death threw Indonesia into further chaos. Foreign capital began to withdraw its funds, and Arthur started to have Emily Shead sell off Indonesian rupiah and begin short-selling.

In Singapore, at the Fullerton Bay Hotel, Arthur rolled off Vivian Chow, feeling pleased, planted a kiss on her chest, and said, "If nothing's happening in Hong Kong, why not stick around here a bit longer? Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and so on!"
"Arthur," Vivian said as she hugged him, "Do you have some important matters going on? You've been away from Hong Kong for nearly a month."
"Yeah, just some small things. I bought a private island in Indonesia, planning to develop it into a luxury resort," Arthur chuckled, knowing that's where the Seraphim would train and stockpile arms; once the events in Indonesia played out, the island would no longer be of much use.
"Indonesia?" Vivian paused, "Isn't it unstable there? You're still buying an island? Protests and demonstrations are happening everywhere, calling for the president to step down."
"Don't worry, we're in Singapore," Arthur reassured, kissing her on the cheek. "In a couple of days, I might have to leave for a while. If you don't want to stay here vacationing, you can head back to Hong Kong and wait for me, okay?"
"Then I'll just go back to Hong Kong first," Vivian said and leaned in to kiss his chest.
