Kapitel 3: Chapter 3: Mirajane's Tragic Story

As the giant tiger slowly approached, Mirajane's face turned pale as she struggled to stand.

"Onee-chan!"

"N-nee chan!"

Meanwhile, Lisanna and Elfman attempted to block the giant tiger, but they were effortlessly knocked aside.

"Are we going to die here?" Mirajane felt a wave of despair as she watched her siblings being knocked away.

[Ice & Fire Dragon Wave]

At that moment, a scorching fire dragon and an ice dragon wrapped in frosty wind suddenly attacked the giant tiger.

*SWISH*

The imposing giant tiger froze in place, and before it could react, the freezing and scorching dragons had already slammed through its body.

*BOOM*

The giant tiger flew several meters away, crashing through many old trees in the forest.

"Are you alright, kids?"

At the sound of Chrollo's gentle voice, the three siblings turned their heads and saw his silhouette walking slowly toward them.

"Th-thank you for saving us. May I ask who you are, sir?" Mirajane struggled to get up, expressing her gratitude and inquiring about his identity.

At the same time, she hurriedly hid Lisanna and Elfman behind her. Although Chrollo had dealt with the giant tiger, she remained wary. After all, Chrollo was a stranger.

Along the way, the siblings had encountered many malicious strangers. Given their previous experiences in the village, she always remained on guard.

Noticing Mirajane's wariness, Chrollo didn't mind and followed the script in his mind, "Oh, sorry! My name is Chrollo Sagōru, the guildmaster of the Phoenix Guild."

"A guild? Big brother, are you a mage?" Lisanna, who was behind Mirajane, couldn't help but poke her head out upon hearing Chrollo, and ran directly to him.

"Lisanna, wait a min—" Mirajane suddenly became nervous upon seeing her sibling run over to the stranger, but after hesitating for a while, she didn't stop her.

"Never mind, he looks like a good person though and he saved us earlier," she thought.

"A mage? As the guildmaster of the Phoenix Guild, guess if I am a mage," Chrollo replied, touching Lisanna's head.

He then pointed at the giant tiger and said, "Isn't that proof enough?"

The giant tiger was no longer as fearsome as before; its body was now half-burned and half-frozen.

"Su-sugoi!" Lisanna exclaimed, her mouth wide open in shock.

The three siblings hadn't paid much attention earlier due to Chrollo's arrival, but now, seeing it clearly, they were all stunned.

"The giant tiger that nearly killed us just moments ago looks like this now!"

"Big brother, since you're a powerful mage, you can surely help my sister with her arm problem!" Lisanna pondered for a moment, leaning towards Chrollo with hopeful eyes.

"Stop, Lisanna! Don't mention that!" Mirajane intervened nervously.

Even though Chrollo was their savior, she didn't want to discuss her arm. She feared that when Chrollo saw her right arm, he would react with disgust and rejection like everyone else.

"Arm? You mean that demonic arm?"

Mirajane asked cautiously, "H-how do you know?"

"I noticed it earlier that there was something off about your right arm when I arrived," Chrollo said calmly, looking at Mirajane.

Mirajane hesitated for a few seconds before finally unwrapping the cloth around her arm.

A strange black arm came into view before Chrollo. Mirajane nervously watched his expression, fearing he might show disgust.

However, after a closer look, Chrollo remained calm and gently reassured her, "Don't be nervous. Have you encountered a demon or something similar before?"

Hearing Chrollo's gentle voice made Mirajane's heart tremble slightly. Apart from Lisanna and Elfman, this was the first time someone had seen her demonic arm without showing disgust.

This allowed Mirajane to completely lower her guard around Chrollo. She looked at her arm and recalled everything that had happened not long ago.

.....

In their village, there stood an old, crumbling church where every midnight, eerie whispers of the devil echoed through its halls.

The villagers were afraid to approach the church for fear of being killed. Only Mirajane, wanting to help the village, broke into the church alone.

After that night, the devil's voice disappeared, but Mirajane's right arm turned into a demonic arm without her knowing how it happened.

The villagers believed she was possessed by the devil, the incarnation of the devil, without knowing what happened that night. They went so far as to throw stones at her head and forcibly expel her from the village.

To be continued...

.....

"I suddenly regret attacking that kid," the giant tiger said tearfully, adding, "though it's not my fault."

"Master, I'm dead now! When are you going to turn me into a phoenix? I really can't wait! And when I become a phoenix, I'll burn down that village of that kid! How ungrateful they are, hmph!" The giant tiger spoke with anger in his voice.

"You can't do that. It's still a blessing in disguise that she gained that power," the author replied.

"What power? Is it more powerful than the Phoenix?" the giant tiger asked curiously.

"Don't ask too much! You're already dead; don't get involved in the younger generation's era," the author replied.

"Hmph! I'm 150 years old and still youthful."

"Alright, alright! I'll turn you into a phoenix in future chapters," said the author in resignation.

"Yippee!"
