"I didn't expect you to let us go." Ash didn't mind; he already knew how this situation would unfold.

"Knowing that I won't let you go, did you really run right into the trap?" Ariana frowned slightly. From the battle earlier, this boy didn't seem like someone who would act on impulse.

"How else would we stall for time?" Ash adjusted the brim of his hat with a sly smile.

"What?" Ariana furrowed her brow. *Stalling for time? Does this kid have reinforcements?*

Boom!

A violent noise echoed, and the ground trembled. Everyone noticed something was off, and the grin on Ash's face grew wider.

"Right on schedule!"

The vibrations signaled to Ash that his plan had worked. He glanced behind Ariana, who felt the looming presence of something large as the ground shook beneath her.

She quickly turned around and saw a massive figure approaching, each step shaking the earth.

"This is…?"

Misty, Brock, and the others stared in awe as a huge, orange-skinned Pokémon with Dual Wingbeat soared closer.

"Is that... Charizard?"

It was unmistakable—Charizard, the final evolution of Charmander. But this Charizard was abnormally large, similar to the Pokémon they had seen earlier.

"Char!!"

Ahead of Charizard, Ash's Charmander came running toward them. Clearly, Charizard had been drawn by its smaller counterpart.

Boom! Boom!

Another loud crash from the side drew Ariana and Team Rocket's attention again. They turned just in time to see another giant Pokémon—a Kabutops, covered in brown armor with menacing scythes for hands. It, too, was approaching steadily. Behind Kabutops, Eevee darted through the woods, swiftly following.

And from other directions, more Pokémon appeared. A gigantic Venusaur, Zapdos, and Moltres flew through the sky. They had all been summoned by Ash and were now surrounding everyone.

"We're completely surrounded!" Jessie and James, unaware that these were robotic Pokémon, were terrified.

Misty and Brock were just as anxious. Even though the other members of Team Rocket knew these Pokémon were machines, the sight was still unsettling.

"Don't worry, everyone. These artificial Pokémon are programmed not to attack us," one of the Team Rocket members said, trying to reassure the others.

"They may not attack *you*—but they will attack us!" Ash grinned as Ariana's frown deepened.

Ash's real Pokémon had now joined the fray, weaving through the Rockets, leaving them confused and disoriented. Just then—

Crackle!

Above, Zapdos and Moltres launched their attacks in the direction of Pidgeotto. Bolts of lightning and searing flames shot toward it.

Pidgeotto soared higher into the sky to avoid the attack, but the blasts were headed straight for the ground, and the Team Rocket members below couldn't react in time.

Boom!

Two streams of energy crashed down, and an astonishing force erupted instantly. The gathered members of Team Rocket were thrown back by the explosion.

Misty and Brock were also affected, but not severely. Seeing the chaos, Ash seized the opportunity.

"Pikachu, use Iron Tail!"

"Pi-ka!!"

Pikachu darted forward, rushing to where Misty and Brock were tied up. With a swift swing of its metallic tail, it sliced through the ropes binding them, setting them free.

Meanwhile, in the confusion, Jessie's Koffing, Ekans, and Meowth jumped into action. Meowth, with frantic Fury Swipes, managed to cut the ropes holding Jessie and James. The trio, along with their Pokémon, hugged each other, crying in relief, while Misty and Brock hurried to Ash's side.

"Are you guys okay?" Ash asked as they regrouped.

"We're fine, thanks to you," Misty said, still shaken. Brock nodded, both grateful for Ash's quick thinking.

"Let's save the thanks for later—we need to get out of here!" Ash urged. The situation was still chaotic, and those mechanical Pokémon were still looming, keeping them trapped. They needed to escape fast.

"Don't think you can run away!" Ariana shouted, pulling out a Poké Ball, ready for battle.

"Charmander, use Smokescreen!" Ash commanded, seeing Ariana preparing to strike.

"Charrr!!"

Charmander exhaled a thick cloud of black smoke, filling the area and blocking Ariana's vision. As she hesitated, ready to pursue, a sudden burst of fire came down from above.

It was the massive Charizard, unleashing a powerful Flamethrower that scorched the ground in front of Ariana. She dodged quickly, and Ash and the others used the distraction to flee.

The flames swept across the battlefield, and Jessie, James, and Meowth—still holding each other—didn't react in time. They were caught in the blast.

Boom!

The explosion sent Team Rocket flying into the air, disappearing into the smoky sky.

"Why does it always end like this?" Jessie wailed.

"Well, at least we're all okay," James added, trying to stay optimistic.

"Exactly! Then let's shout it together…"

"What a disgusting feeling!!" they chorused.

Once again, Team Rocket couldn't escape their fate. Though the mechanical Pokémon had been built to target outsiders, their size and the sheer power of their attacks meant everyone got caught up in the chaos.
