Kapitel 26: Chapter 26 - Pain and Agony of the Divine Herald

When the power from Kenro's palm struck the wall of the box, there was an intense force. Kenro almost lost his footing as a powerful force emanated from his palm, causing him to step back gradually.

However, he resisted the force and continued to channel his power to break down the wall of the box. The Aruha inside the box were amazed at the extraordinary power Kenro displayed at that moment.

The scene was breathtaking for everyone present, including the princess and her three guests, the noble siblings. No one seemed to be breathing because of the intensity of the situation.

Everyone awaited the outcome—whether they would succeed in breaking the wall, fail, or if Kenro would die from the poison that might spread throughout his body, a result of absorbing the combined power of the Aruha.

Yana's grip tightened on Qrolo's arm, feeling a nervous tension in her chest. She was worried for Kenro's safety, but she also needed to trust that he could destroy the wall.

Then, they heard a sound coming from the wall of the box, as if a crack had formed, and gradually the wall shattered, broken by Kenro's power. The force of his power was so great that it pierced through the palace wall, and many establishments and buildings were damaged by the force emanating from Kenro's palm.

The princess could not believe what she saw, stunned by the destruction caused by the power that came from Kenro's hand, her eyes widening in shock.

"Amazing," exclaimed noble Rufino, clapping.

"The Chosen One's idea of combining the powers of the Aruha into the palm of the Divine Grip wielder, the Divine Healer, was truly remarkable," said Noble Hilda, still in disbelief.

"They may have succeeded now, but the small body of the Divine Herald will begin to weaken. His body will start fighting against the poison that is now slowly spreading throughout his body. It still depends on his body's capacity to withstand the pain and suffering as the poison spreads," said noble Estifon.

Princess Hasi just rolled her eyes. Secretly, she was amazed by the intelligence, power, and strength displayed by the participants. She also secretly wished that the poor Kenro could endure the poison that was now starting to spread throughout his body.

All the Aruha inside the box shouted with joy, overwhelmed with happiness because they had finally succeeded. They immediately exited the box, ecstatic, while Kenro collapsed and fell to his knees on the ground. Yana and Qrolo quickly approached him to support him and check his condition.

Kenro closed his eyes from the intense pain coursing through his entire body, feeling it deep in his muscles and even his internal organs. He was nearly delirious, rolling on the floor and screaming in agony from the pain he felt.

"Kenro, what should we do?!" Qrolo shouted in panic.

Meanwhile, Yana was almost in tears as she watched Kenro suffering, rolling on the ground in pain. They had all passed the trial, but Yana blamed herself for what was happening to Kenro now, because it was all her idea. And now, she was helpless, unable to do anything to ease Kenro's suffering.

"I think I made a mistake, forgive me, Kenro..." Yana said tearfully.

"What should we do to help Kenro?" Qrolo asked worriedly.

"I don't know either, this is my fault. I wish I hadn't insisted on my idea," Yana replied.

Meanwhile, Kenro continued to suffer as the poison attacked and spread throughout his body.

The pain was almost unbearable; Kenro wished in his mind that his suffering would end. But he continued to breathe, unable to explain the pain he felt throughout his entire body.

He kept screaming, and a few of the Aruha came closer to examine Kenro. But none of them could do anything except pity the poor Kenro, as none of them had the ability to heal or remove the poison from an Aruha's body.

"Are we just going to let Kenro suffer like this? What can we do?" Qrolo asked in anguish, clenching his fist.

Kenro was important to Qrolo—he was his only childhood friend who had remained by his side until now. They treated each other like family, like brothers. So it hurt Qrolo deeply to see his friend suffer like this.

Kenro had sacrificed himself so they could all pass the princess's first trial, and yet, Qrolo could do nothing to help ease his friend's suffering.

"Qrolo, I'm sorry. This is my fault," Yana whispered weakly, bowing her head.

"Don't blame yourself, Yana. It's not your fault," Qrolo replied.

"Step aside!" They heard someone speak sharply, and they turned to look behind them.

They all bowed to show respect as the princess approached, accompanied by her noble guests, the sibling nobles. They quickly moved aside to let the princess pass.

Noble Estifon immediately approached Kenro, who was delirious on the floor. He quickly checked his pulse.

"His heartbeat is still strong. There is still a good chance this Divine Herald will survive because his body is fighting against the poison that is now attacking and spreading throughout his body," Noble Estifon said.

Upon hearing this, Qrolo and Yana felt a glimmer of hope that Kenro might survive and endure the pain he was feeling.

"W-what should we do, Noble?" Qrolo asked.

"For now, we don't know how long his body will be able to fight the poison. It would be best if he were examined by a healer who has the ability to remove poison from the body," Noble Estifon suggested.

"I-I'll take my friend now to a healer. Please, allow us to leave the palace," Qrolo pleaded with the princess.

Just as Qrolo was about to lift Kenro, the princess stopped him.

"He may not make it if you still have to search for a skilled healer who can remove the poison immediately from his body. So, you better calm down, and I'll order the guards to find a skilled healer for your friend," the princess said sternly.

But Qrolo smiled and almost cried at the princess's kindness. He had thought her heart was completely cold, but there was goodness in her after all.

"Thank you so much, Your Highness," Qrolo said, kneeling before the princess in deep gratitude.

Yana followed suit, kneeling before the princess to show respect and thanks for helping their friend Kenro, who was still suffering terribly from the poison spreading throughout his body.

The princess summoned the guards, who then carried Kenro and took him to an isolated chamber. She also called for a few guards to search for skilled healers.

"The trial will continue. You cannot simply leave the palace, as my trials are not yet finished. Therefore, you must stay, friend of the Divine Herald Kenro, to continue with my second trial for the participants," the princess said to Qrolo.

"And you, congratulations... You have proven yourself worthy to be the chosen one. You impressed me with your intelligence and came up with such an idea to free all of you from the box of my power," the princess said to Yana.

Yana could only bow her head, feeling deeply intimidated by the princess. The princess radiated power and authority, making Yana always feel nervous whenever the princess spoke to her.

But Yana was very happy to learn that she had passed the princess's trial.

"But, Your Highness, do I still need to participate in the second trial?" Yana asked.

"Don't be foolish. You have already passed, so stay here and wait for the next step that my father will order once the trial for the remaining Aruha participants is over," the princess snapped at Yana, who immediately fell silent. Yana did not say anything further, as the princess's tone was quite harsh.

"You may accompany your friend, the Aruha, in the isolated room. Wait there," the princess added.

Yana could only nod in response.

"Qrolo, good luck! I know you will overcome all the trials that the princess will give. I believe in you," Yana cheered for Qrolo, smiling at him.

Those words from Yana were enough to lift Qrolo's spirits and increase his confidence in himself, making him feel even more determined to win the princess's trials and become the guardian of the chosen one, Yana.

He also gave Yana a sweet smile, and afterward, Yana turned and followed the two chamberlains who would escort her to the isolated room where Kenro was.

Meanwhile, the Princess gathered the participants again, and the second trial would begin shortly.

"What do you think, Your Highness? How many participants do you think will remain and pass the second trial?" asked Noble Hilda.

"I think half, or maybe even less than half, will pass," the Princess replied.

This left the three sibling nobles wondering what kind of trial the princess would present to the participants for the second test.

Meanwhile, the leader of Venera, Riyugi, and Banki, continued their journey to find another human who might stray into the dream world in the territory of the Ronoru.

Their goal was to bring this human to the depths of the ocean to read the inscriptions on a stone that only a human could decipher, located near the gate leading to the human world.

A deep desire still burned within Riyugi's heart to fulfill the aspirations of King Merif, whom he served, in the quest to open the gateway that connects the dream world to the human world.
