Paige was impatient as she nodded at the professor and hurriedly left the class. She half ran the steps down, nearly slipping a few times and almost hanging up Jace.

He tried to ask her to slow down, while he himself was breaking out in a cold sweat seeing her antics.

It was already dark outside, and the staircase she took was one that wasn't often used, so not all the lightbulbs functioned.

When she saw Lance at the end of the stairs, she let her backpack fall to the ground and lunged into his arms.

She didn't think for a moment about the possibility that he wouldn't catch her.

Lance pressed her close against himself and grinned widely,

"I missed you so much. How was your day, my love?" He asked in her ear.

Paige just hummed as a response, finally feeling safe as she hid within the hug.

She didn't want to come down anymore, remaining there,

"How was your day?" She asked back.
