Kapitel 31: Chapter 31 Discussing Pressure and Counterpressure

Wufu crouched halfway, clutching the bamboo stick across her chest with one hand while resting the other on her waist, one foot slightly drawn back, tiptoeing on the ground, her dark eyes vigilantly scanning the surroundings.

Any martial artist who saw her would know that she was on guard, ready to spring into action and attack like a leopard once the enemy approached.

She waited quietly, but apart from the sound of the wind blowing through the tree tops, she heard no other movement.

It didn't make sense, she had distinctly heard the sound of footsteps earlier, and moreover, they were dragging.

Could she have misheard?

Wufu felt a bit uncertain, slowly stood up, and thought about it, her body had not been trained, so it wasn't surprising if she had heard wrong.

With this in mind, she continued forward with an eased heart.

Rustle, hmm.

Wufu stopped in her tracks once again and dashed toward the left front, her hand holding the bamboo stick ready to strike.
