Kapitel 126: The Third Wheel

The next morning started on a usual note, with Kiana grumbling to skip school. She had dozens of reasons why it was necessary to stay home today, but her mommy wasn't going to fall for it.

"I will study more tomorrow, Mommy. Pleasee~" the little girl pleaded with a pout. She blinked her innocent eyes and rolled on the bed again, unwilling to get up. Last night had been so much fun, and she wanted to go to a party today too.

"Your tests are nearing, Kia. You can't skip classes," Evelyn replied in a serious tone. Picking Kiana up to sit her upright, she tried to negotiate, "How about you go to school, and I will try to convince your grandpa to let you skip your tuition for today?"

Kiana's eyes instantly lit up at the idea. Yes, she would do anything to avoid ending up in John the Jailer's study room! He had been working so hard to tutor her, torturing her so much that she hated going to the Reign Mansion these days.
